The Legend of Robin Hood (the 1975 BBC 6-part miniseries)... I see Paul Darrow is rocking the Will Riker look over a decade before Star Trek: The Next Generation. Smile

Just rewatching the 1st 3 episodes of B7 in preparation for Tuesday's rewatch. They make a wonderful film.

A few Studio Ghibli movies to mark Hayao Miyazaki's birthday - favourites include Laputa: The Castle in the Sky, My Neighbour Totoro (my nephew's favourite), Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso and Princess Mononoke.

This weeks Dr Who was convoluted as heck, but the wife and I had a blast.

Anyone seen Rise of Skywalker? Wasn't my cuppa tea at all

Finished up The Mandalorian, first series, which is excellent. Saw Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker- very, very excellent! And saw the first full episode of Doctor Who. I'll pass on remarking on that program for the moment.
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

Loved Mando. Hated TROS

Agree on Mando, respectfully disagree on TROS. I saw Jedi at the theater in 1983. While I liked it, as an end to the saga it left me flat. TROS was everything I have been waiting to see for 36 years.

I think I prefer the versions of the SW characters that grew in the Expanded universe. I don't think the new trilogy did any of them justice. Glad you dug it though. Mando is a godsend! I love westerns so this was right up my alley

Re Mando, to me the set in which Mando battles the IG droid and first finds baby y, is nearly an exact copy of the set on which the no name cowboy battled the bandits in For A Few Dollars More.

So I finished Brothers & Sisters season 2. Boy did those last two episodes have me blubbing like a baby. I am putting it down to tiredness and the ridiculous amount of alcohol I drank over the holiday season. Nothing else I swear!!

I am not halfway through the eighth and final season of 24. You can tell they were trying to re-boot the series but it does fall flat. The best moment so far came at the end of episode 12, two many silly storylines which bore, characters which you just can't feel anything for. It isn't as bad as season 6 but the last half needs to pick up to keep me going.

I am glad this will be it, I am 24'd out

I was hoping no one would have picked up on that!!

My only excuse is that I don't own it on physical media so, therefore, falls outside of my re-watch rules. However, if someone was to buy it for me... Grin

I received the 'Robin of Sherwood' boxset for Christmas.
Very much enjoyed it. Great mix of the classic legend with sword and sorcery.
