Started the Thick of It last night and I enjoyed it. Still, its weird to see the Doctor with such a potty mouth.

Talk about depressing...season 3 is the best, imo, but the season 4 finale left me depressed and sad, mostly because "this is exactly how it works" Sad
I saw it before DW, in fact, I knew Peter long before he was announced so for me, it was the other way around Grin It was weird not to see Malcolm Tucker not to swear Grin But kudos to Peter that after about five minutes in DW, I saw the Doctor, not Peter or Malcolm.

I'm going to watch The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Project Strigas Affair with the late great Leonard Nimoy.
"You'd never get a cat to be a servant. You ever see a cat return a stick? "Hey, man! You threw the stick, you go get it yourself! I'm busy! If you wanted the stick so bad, why'd you throw it away in the first place?"

From Hell

Johnny Depp, Ian McNiece, Ian Holm, Ian Richardson, Heather Graham, et al...

A fanciful take on Jack The Ripper. A good tale with absolutely no historical accuracy.

I'm watching and recording off the DVR the Man From Uncle again: The Bow Wow Affair. Editing out commercials is a pain.

Watching and recording U.N.C.L.E. The Brain Killer Affair. That episode has a wonderful villainess, Dr. DeBree, a mad brain surgeon.
I love it when she says," Let that be a lesson to you, never do anything for money. Only do those things which you enjoy doing."
She enjoys destroying minds. I still think Servalan would win the prize for most evil though. Smile

Just watched an episode of Midsomer Murders called A Vintage Murder that had a pretty good number of Doctor Who links! Mark Bonnar (The Rebel Flesh), Claire Bloom (The End of Time), Naoko Mori (Aliens of London, Torchwood regular), and Sabrina Bartlett (Marion in Robot of Sherwood)...
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

I'm also, one episode at a time, watching a recent series called True Love; the first ever, and so far only, completely improvised mainstream BBC1 drama. Obviously, for a project so challenging, the cast invited to take part are mostly of the highest calibre from within the UK television scene. But however good they may be, ultimately there is a good reason why actors don't usually write their own shows...

I'm watching Monty Python's The Holy Grail. I am on the part with the Knights who say Nee at you.
They demand shrubbery.

Has everyone heard that X files is coming back? I plan to watch it when it does. Happy

I rewatched Big Fish yesterday...this is imo Tim Burtonīs best movie along with Beetlejuice. His "Burton" style is still there, but it is more grounded and the ending is just perfect and sad but at the same time very much in a fantasy style. I know it is an adaptation and not his own thing and maybe it is a good way how to be different. Also, there was no Johnny Depp in white make-up to be the main character and Ewan McGregor and a bunch of other talented actors handled it well.
