Finally finished watching the extended cut of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (there are 3 versions - the Italian theatrical version, which runs at 2 hours and 45 minutes, the American theatrical version which runs at 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the extended version, which was restored from the surviving negatives back in 2004 and included missing scenes absent from both theatrical releases dubbed into English by the surviving actors - this version runs at precisely 3 hours long). I could have done with an intermission, and it's made me question my own writing.

Watched "All is True", the story of Shakespeare's last years in Stratford-upon-Avon. Starring Ken Branagh (produced and directed) and Judy Dench. And finished Captain Scarlet, and going on to The Terrahawks.

Yes, rojkerr1. I tend to write big - epic big... I'm starting to wonder if I'm writing too much for the hell of it.

sweevo - you should write whatever you like!
If you subsequently decide to submit it for publication, the editors / publishers will guide your writing to suit their requirements. But for now - if you enjoy epic writing, just go for it Smile

Travisina is right. Go with your flow. As long as it ain't waffle or filler but you don't strike me as that type of person (from my limited knowledge of your input here). That said you might find it a useful exercise to write a piece in which you reign it back: see how it feels / whether it works.

This will be interesting. My older brothers have clear memories of this but I can only get glimpses and the feem toon. Worth a look but I don't think I'm going to love it. You never know though...

My claim to fame is that back in the day my dear Dad built a Wendy house for me (okay it was a shed, but my dad built it, so it was my Wendy House). Anyway, to board up the inside and make it cosy he toddled off to some scrap yard and returned with all this hardboard stuff that had paint on one side...and on the other was written 'Freewheelers. Act something or other.... '. It was only some of the scenery he's managed to get hold off!!! (He also managed to get some nice blue carpet once for the hall and staircase...it was the off cuts from the Top Rank Ballroom!)
