Not sure if anyone has heard of it but it is a sci-fi series from the late 70s/early 80s. Not sure if it was any good as it only lasted 4 years and even the leading man got out after 2 years Grin

I wouldn't bother - sounds rubbish Wink

First episode wasn't too bad, I may give the second episode a go Pfft

There's a new character introduced in Ep2 who you might find interesting.

RoboCop (the original 1987 movie with Peter Weller in the title role)... first saw it on my 18th birthday and I've loved the movie since then (can't say the same about the sequels). I'm still PO'd that my mother wouldn't let me watch it until I came of age (she threw one hell of a faecal storm - not literally - when she caught me watching Classic Doctor Who and B7 at a young age).

I've got to admit that Robocop and the first two Terminator movies are my guilty pleasure movies. Nothing like watching some mindless violence with a touch of internally consistent plot while having a bevvy or two with my mind switched off.

Starting soon on Talking Pictures is a TV series from 1975..called Shadows and our lovely Gareth is in Episode 2.
Its a half hour anthology series of scary stories for children and it seems that our equally lovely Jaqs will be showing up as well.

Vanessa stole my line - she got online before I did Grin

Actually now I am up to Project Avalon. It was interesting to note just how dark the series was in the first few episodes something which can be forgotten when thinking about later stories.

Other things I have noticed:-

Jan Chappell sounds so much younger in the first series compared to the next two.
Jacqueline Pearce, obviously, makes a sterling start in S-L-D but it is in Project Avalon that she makes Servalan her own. Flourishes like her hand movements, which did become more exaggerated as the series continued, were first seen here.
Duel is still my favourite episode from Series A.

Thank you..Wink

Duel is an epic episode. It shows just how well the group have gelled together. They are a much more cohesive force than in SLD. The characters have settled down and actually work together. The verbal jousts are setting themselves up as defining the individual people.

Project Avalon I feel is more of a showcase for the Federation side than for Blake and co.The glimpses of how ruthless the upper brass are is shown in the casual getting of an expendable person for the virus trial. "If you can't find one... " Travis instructs his mutoid.

Looking forward to this. Thanks for the heads up. Any idea when it starts?

There's been a lot of disagreement over the finale. How did you rate it? Did it feel like it had the right ending?
