BBC CD Novelisations
Hi all

I always seem to be late to the party!

Have just bought the Project Avalon CD. It seems 'The Way Back' and 'Cygnus Alpha' had a CD release but been discontinued a couple of year back.

Does anyone know of any dealers who still have any new copies for sale or where I can pick one up.

Thanks guys!
usually some on ebay...
I believe I got mine on Amazon. I only got them last year, so I'm a bit late to the party too. They're ok, only the reading of the Trevor Hoyle scripts, but still, this was all before Big Finish's Blake's 7 range, right? A check of Amazon, or similar should be able to find you some.

If anyone has a specific site, could you please post it for jnd-85?
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.
I've got Project Avalon on permanent loop (or rather, CD autochanger) in the car at the moment. It's rather thrilling to hear these read by Jacqueline & Paul - both have such gorgeous voices. I'm supposed to be reviewing them for Horizon, but am being kept rather busy by Big Finish reviews at the moment Smile

It is interesting to note some of the differences between the books (or rather the scripts they were based on) and the televised version. One of the things that struck me during a recent rewatch was that in the televised Project Avalon Cally stayed at the flight controls, while Jenna went down to look for Avalon, and I thought surely it should have been the other way round? As it happens, it WAS the other way round in the original script! Ha. I wonder why the writer/producer/whoever changed it?

Well, I love traditional audiobooks and still look forward to them more than Big Finish's enhanced multi-reader books or audio dramas. Even Big Finish themselves are now starting to issue more of the traditional variety with just one reader giving us a whole novel, as with their Omega Factor and Survivors releases read by Louise Jameson and Carolyn Seymour; and lets not forget Paul Darrow's readings of his own Blake's 7 stories. Long may 'full book' audio readings continue imo!
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.
