Critical and Popular Reception in the US
Forgive my ignorance, but has Blake's 7 ever been transmitted in the US, and what sort of reception has it received from public, critics etc over there?
Vila: Where are all the good guys?
Blake: You could be looking at them.
Avon: What a depressing thought!
Yes, it was broadcast on some TV networks in the late 1980s. My sister watched at that time on PBS with a friend of hers in North Carolina. Not sure what kind of reception it got, though. I think it had a kind of niche interest, but I haven't looked it up to know for sure.

Some of the PBS stations aired it in the late '80s/early '90s. This was the same period when Doctor Who was being aired. I watched both for the first time then on Wisconsin public TV. I don't think B7 was ever as popular/well known as Doctor Who. Even among my circle of geek friends (excepting the group here), only two people have watched it and they actually both saw it outside the US, one in the UK and one in Australia.
