What Are You Listening To?

Big Finish's Doctor Who, Doom Coalition is the last thing I listened to. I did enjoy it (I love Paul McGann's Doctor), but what I really want from them is more Blake's 7!

Going through Big Finish Blake's 7 Full Cast audios #2 1-6 and loving it again. Will be relistening to Liberator Chronicles #12 again too, very soon.

Started on the second audio series of Torchwood from Big Finish yesterday. While both 2.1 The Victorian Age and 2.2 Zone 10 were very good, they were not quite up to the same overall standard of ingenuity achieved in series one, being fairly straight forward adventures with nothing clever about the mechanics or style of the narratives. Good, but only really 7/10.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

Started the latest Avengers audio collection this afternoon, Return to Castle De'ath and The Miser, and am listening to Doctor Who: Nightshade this evening; a drama starring Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred based on the 1992 original novel by new series writer Mark Gatiss.

The new Robin of Sherwood audio adventure, Knights of the Apocalypse. Very good, they've really captured the essence of the show.

Is that Big Finish?

Angry Angel
No, it's a one-off, done from an original Richard Carpenter script for charity, and it was made by Spiteful Puppet: https://www.spite...uppet.com/

The latest classic Doctor Who novelisation audiobooks were both very good, The Claws of Axos read by Richard Franklin and The Sontaran Experiment read by the impressionist Jon Culshaw, but today is reserved for listening to the original novel reading... Doctor Who: Scream of the Shalka by Paul Cornell, read by the one and only David Collings!

"The Light of September", and I've just heard the most awesome thing in the universe: Sylvester McCoy swearing. That is cool, I'm really digging it, man. Smile
