You know, that would be a great project for Gary in future- whenever there is one of our actors near, have him/her try on one of the original costumes.
This is a BRILLIANT idea! Gary - please do consider it??

Yes! That guy was Bruno Tonioli from Dancing with the Stars/Strictly Come Dancing! I was amazed.

I enjoyed helping with Gary's Costumes at Cygnus Alpha. It made me decide to start reposting the costumes that used to be on the old Forum. So here is my favourite, Coser's Costume from Weapon.

Great photo's above Lorna.

Adding to the gallery, here are some shots of Gary's costumes from the recent Cygnus Alpha event in London.

Well done to Gary and everyone who were involved with such a fabulous display.

Gary came to stay for the weekend and brought some costumes for me to try on. They are ones he borrowed from a friend to take to RTGP3. They are all Avon costumes.

The first is the black velvet costume from Rumours of Death and Volcano.
Made by David Delany Theatrical Costumer. Very attractive design. The velvet is still in great condition but the imitation leather trim is deteriorating with age.
It fastens at the front with hooks and eyes.

This is the Silver costume used in Shadow, Gambit, Horizon and a short scene near the end of Children of Auron.
It is made of a soft leather and still gorgeous. Not at like tin foil.

It is a June Hudson design. and again is very well tailored. i172.photobucket.com/albums/w14/lprice10/B7%20Costumes/th_007_zpshatsmdg6.jpg

This is the costume used in Hostage, Voice From the Past, The Keeper, Star One Aftermath and Powerplay. So it was a popular costume used over Season 2 And 3.

It is made of grey leather, with plastic and cloth panels . Beautifully put together; See detail in second photo.
It is assumed this was made in house.

These are the second Season trousers worn by Avon. These trousers were obviously used with braces, as there are buttons inside the waistband. There are ties at the feet to stop them riding up. And one oddity is that it has a side zip, not good for men???

Wonderful photos and explanations Lorna (and Gary). Looking forward to seeing these costumes at RTGP3. So glad so many of the costumes have survived the years.

As to the trousers, Lorna. Perhaps Avon is put together entirely different from other mere mortals? Maybe that's why there is a side zip? Just joking- probably gives the trousers a more streamlined look, and that's as far as I will go on a family-orientated Forum!
