what tunes are you listening to?

"Human Racing" by Nik Kershaw - apart from the title track, "Dancing Girls" and "Wouldn't It Be Good?", it's a pretty weak album.

The soundtrack to the Italian zombie movie "Zombi 3", the last one in the "series" to be directed by Lucio Fulci (partially - the bulk of the movie's footage was shot by Bruno Mattei and Claudio Fragasso). The track "The Sound of Fear" is the highlight of the album. Smile

"Righteous Anger", Van Stephenson's most underrated album.

Working from home now, but yesterday our open plan office was so noisy I resorted to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture (on headphones) to blot it out. Wink

Westworld soundtrack, love the chase theme

"Il funerale" by Angelo Branduardi, from his 1976 album "Alla Fiera Dell'Est". Given the recent passing of everybody's favourite rebel leader, I can't think of a more appropriate song (it's in Italian, but it's the thought that counts).

Quadrophenia (the original double album) by The Who. Because I love it, and because I'm working from home today and needed energising.

Twin girls putting on a show by singing modern songs. Don't ask me their names but one contains a reference to Superman and another asks, Who do you think you are. Bith are quite tuneful!
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Command and Conquer soundtrack Smile

The Waterboys: An Appointment with Mr Yeats. How on earth did I miss this when it was released? It's brilliant. Also The Unthanks: Mount the Air; Ola Gjeilo (compositions for Voices, Piano and Strings—I cannot recommend this composer highly enough); Judie Tzuke: Welcome to the Cruise, which has dated badly.

Ultravox marathon for me - "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes" (thanks to Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain - Arigato gozaimasu, Kojima-san), and of course, "Vienna" (one of my favourite songs and European cities). Smile

Genesis Live at Wembley Stadium (the complete show recorded from the BBC Radio 1 FM broadcast, not the edited DVD/video, which is missing the "In the Cage" Medley, which takes place in between "The Brazilian" and "Land of Confusion".) - to mark its 29th anniversary today. Smile

Not a tune as such but

The recently released new Robin of Sherwood audio story..

While waiting for my copy of the new Monkees CD to arrive I am listening to (and watching) a couple of the songs featured on it; She Makes me Laugh and You Bring the Summer. Just love the animated video thay have done for the latter.

After a humorous discussion between fellow Forum member Lorna and myself, I have just looked up and listened to 'Abergavenny' by Marty Wilde. In the USA, it was released with the name 'Shannon' who was actually Marty but for some reason they thought the record would do better by this unknown 'Shannon'. It's a great little song from 1969 and I sincerely doubt many of my fellow Americans have even even heard of it.
