Then maybe you'll also like the best Dire Straits song not by Dire Straits Wink.

Jethro Tull doing a Dire Straits like song. Well they have many strings to their bow.

yep, i feel safest of all...

Tarrant On TV
Recently I've been listening to a lot of folk-punk.
The Levellers, Ferocious Dog, MacDermott's Two Hours etc.

"One Dream" by Lou Gramm (the former lead singer for the band Foreigner), which plays during the end credits to the cinematic travesty that is Highlander 2: The Quickening (the only memorable part of that celluloid lavatory along with Sean Connery's performance - everyone else, including star Christopher Lambert, phoned it the hell in).

sweevo
The works of Luciano Pavarotti, to mark what would have been his 84th birthday today.

rojkerr1
Gary Numan brill. new album next year, Intruder

You got to give it to Gaz - he never rests on his laurels. Always willing to try new things. Glad he's still around, especially given all the flying he does/did. OopsUnsureHappy

Numanair, he crashed, like Tarrant!

Rediscovering my love for Genesis - my top 5 albums are:

1. Wind & Wuthering (album closer "Afterglow" is the highlight, along with "Blood on the Rooftops", the latter of which was never played live)
2. Duke (the whole "Duke Suite" is the strong point of the album even if it is scattered all over the place)
3. Invisible Touch ("Land of Confusion", the title track, the "Domino Suite" and the instrumental "The Brazilian" are four strong tracks)
4. We Can't Dance (opener "No Son of Mine", "Driving the Last Spike", "Dreaming While You Sleep" and album closer "Fading Lights" are the highlights for me)
5. Calling All Stations (the title track", "Congo", "Not About Us", "The Dividing Line", "There Must Be Some Other Way" and album closer "One Man's Fool" save this album - it's not as bad as everyone says)

The incidental music to Doctor Who - The Five Doctors

This story has some great music to it, the horn and homages to the theme tune

sweevo
True, even if the story itself is kind of weak.

rojkerr1
just got that and the music for Invasion too, amazing charity shop find!

Tarrant On TV
'Pluto' by Ed Alleyne-Johnson.

Pah! I don't watch it for the story-line... Grin

Yes the plot is weak but as a celebration of 20 years of Doctor Who it is a fun, nostalgic watch
