My latest music purchase was Paloma Faith's reissue edition of her Perfect Contradiction album.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

'Bat Out of Hell' is one of the best rock albums ever! And he was great in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (even if he did come to an unfortunate end...) Twitter: @TravisinaB7

I'm hard pushed to choose a fave Meatloaf song - I think it has to be 'Bat out of Hell' - but I love 'You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth' (especially the long version with the 'On a hot summer night...' spoken bit at the beginning), and 'Dead Ringer', and 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' is really clever... I used to have a fast car with a cassette player - and my favourite tape had the album 'Bat Out of Hell' on one side and Bonnie Tyler 'Faster than the Speed of Night' on the other. Best. Driving. Music. EVER! Twitter: @TravisinaB7

Ditto, but I know it will have been written by Jim Steinman. Bat Out Of Hell and Back Into Hell are just flawless as albums, and I can't leave out Bonnie Tyler's Holding Out For A Hero. And Meat's duets with Marion: Incredible. She is the perfect Rock and Roll Maria to his Rock and Roll Tony. There was a young man
From Cork who got Limericks And Haikus confused. |

On on youtube listening to television theme songs from the 1960s such as Man from Uncle and Get Smart.
"You'd never get a cat to be a servant. You ever see a cat return a stick? "Hey, man! You threw the stick, you go get it yourself! I'm busy! If you wanted the stick so bad, why'd you throw it away in the first place?"

Can't get enough of Tom Jones singing Thunderball and also Shirley Bassey and Nancy Sinatra too! Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

We had all the sci-fi themes going in the main hall and it was fun trying to remember which song came from which series and try to sing along with them. Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

Its a real classic.... i did find them rojkerr!! the alice cooper one wins hands down....sorry lulu but it does..i would love to see alice perform that - i really would!! the blondie one - ooooh tough...as a song, yes its good - as a bond theme, i give the edge to sheena the dame shirley the legend one - how could they? that is a classic bond theme!! come on, she owns the bond themes..after all, she has performed 3 of them..the only artist to record more than one and she is rejected!! a wee story - my employer ( a major high street retailer) used dame shirley doing a cover of the pink song "get the party started" against a bond theme for their christmas advert and it was the most sucessful christmas ad they have done - it was brilliant!! i would love to know who rejected her theme song for quantum..madness!! if dame shirley can cover a pink song sucessfully .......don't even know who sang the theme for quantum..i am a bond geek but i really dislike the craig films.... thanks for the tip off there - i really enjoyed those rojkerr!! ![]() ![]() |
