Simply brilliant - shows how you don't need special fx to make gripping TV. Ancient Rome recreated with polysterene pillars, pot plants and the best British actors of their generation.

INCLUDING BRIAN BLESSED!

ABSOLUTELY!

I'm sorry!
If it's any comfort, I have a permanent earworm with this on my commutes to work. I rewatch the video from time to time, cos it's pretty awesome, but even so... every day?

"Book of Miracle" by Fleetwood Mac

This was a B side only instrumental track recorded at the time of their 1987 album Tango In The Night.

It finished while typing the above and now Toni Braxton is singing "I Don't Want To" from her 1997 album Secrets

The soundtrack to the 80s action classic The Delta Force (starring Chuck Norris and the late great Lee Marvin), which includes one of the most badass main themes ever put to tape courtesy of Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Predator, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?).

Just got back from watching Steeleye Span at my local thee-atre! Fantastic, her top register is a bit dodgy but the rest is recognisably Maddy Prior. Still a force to be reckoned with. Absolutely cracking night out.
