Love Goldfinger, you left out best sidekick in Oddjob - but OHMSS is my fave in every respect, Lazenby v underrated and the soundtrack is awesome, the tragic ending never equalled in a Bond film.
Little moments, like him still holding her shoes at the beginning of the opening titles...super!

Same here, I love OHMSS, it has all the requisite Bond-ness, but more depth with his and Tracy's relationship. Always cry at the end Sad

This was the first Bond film I ever saw at the cinema back in 1969. I queued up to see it 6 times.
Loved it then, love it now.
I, too, cried at the end each time. On the big screen with the sound belting out back then it was brilliant!
When its on TV now, on goes the surround sound with sub woofer.
The interesting thing is, the film I saw back then in 69, seems to be slightly different now, and I read somewhere that this film has quite a few variations and no-one seems to know what the actual film should be!!!
BTW, I have the LP and on my turntable the music is just fab!
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

OHMSS probably the best Bond film ever along with the best tunes too. Although I do enjoy Casino Royale (the 2006 version)

makes me cry too Angel.. and Lazenby apparently on the first unused take! -littlesue the most complete version is probably on the bluray, with the gumboldt lawyer sequence and Bernard Horsfall trying to get on the cable car restored, other little moments too, best Dave

"I Don't Care Anymore" by Phil Collins - one of the few songs that "speak" to me, because I don't care anymore (being on the Grand Theft Auto 5 soundtrack doesn't hurt, either Smile ).

Big Finish Tom Baker series 5 with Lala Ward.

Brilliant.

"Blake", my tribute composition for the eponymous event in June this year (I just finished mixing and mastering a shorter "single edit" for the event running at about 4 1/4 minutes - the full-length version will run at at least 10 minutes). I will be making a separate thread for the download link (I know I'm going against my usual protocol of not releasing a track until the appropriate occasion has passed, but the positive reception has led me to change my mind).

"Against All Odds" by Phil Collins.

New stuff I've listened to.....

Live at Red Rocks by Disturbed
Red Dwarf... Piano fantasies by Howard Goodall.
Live and acoustic in NY 14 March '94 by Lenny Kravitz
Best of Motorhead
Nena: The Collection

....and a couple of songs from the sensational PC game called Rocket League; Infinite Power by The Fat Rat; being one off the top of my head.

The theme tune to the Commodore 64 classic "Comic Bakery "by Martin Galway - you can listen to it here: https://www.youtu...f29ShkoAiA

sweevo
"Skyline" by Sylvester Levay, from the soundtrack to the 1986 Stallone flick "Cobra" - the track doesn't appear in the film (but it does on the soundtrack), and is the main theme for the Commodore 64 video game adaptation (SID rendition by Martin Galway).

OHMSS is one of the best movies ever made and that music is amazing.

I'm listening to THE The

"I've Had Enough" by The Who, from their groundbreaking "Quadrophenia" album... wow. What kind of rock have I been living under all these years?

Quadrophenia is one of my all time very favourite albums! I especially love the last tracks 'The Rock' and 'Love Reign O'er Me'. In fact, I think I'll listen to them again now.

If you haven't yet discovered 'Tommy' by the Who, that's also brilliant - the original, not the movie soundtrack (although that too is good with top-notch artists, I prefer the Who's own version rather than the cover versions)

"Don't Come Close" by Yeasayer (which seems to suit Avon's character), along with "Sleepwalking" by The Chain Gang of 1974 (which seems to suit Blake's character).

sweevo
The "Unicorn theme" by Tangerine Dream, from the soundtrack to the 1985 Ridley Scott movie "Legend" (the American version has a soundtrack by TD, while the European release features an orchestral score by the late great Jerry Goldsmith). The "Unicorn theme" can be listened to here: https://www.youtu...AsKftqdifk

Roger Waters new album 'Is This The Life We Really Want?'

Has anyone else heard it?

A warning would be that it's rather political but as a musical I find it really works after the recent wall tour he embarked upon.

The title track from Small Faces's "Ogdens Nut Gone Flake" album. Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather. Smile

Following on from our Blake weekend.

Listened to the first four Together Again 'tapes', well ok, mp3 files. In any case it made my drive up the motorway much more pleasant.

Not yet, but I've been listening to Lucius who do backing vocals on the record, I believe.

But yeah the politics could be a turnoff.
