Ellen- that's why I turned to fan fiction - both reading and writing!

... and why there is probably more PGP (post Gauda Prime) fan fic than for any other season of B7.

Watch this website for a PGP by Anniew in the near future (and one by me in the distant future... been working at it on and off for about two years, it's taking its time to unravel!)

Something I find interesting about PGP fan-fic is that it runs the range between making things all better and things actually getting worse. I learned the hard way that I should pay attention when the story description contains the line "should come with it's own EZ-Bake oven so you don't have to get up and go to the kitchen to stick you head in the oven after you read this". Curiosity is one of my besetting sins, so I ignored the warning and it was one of the most depressing stories I have ever read.

Ellen was that the one where Servalan imprisoned Avon with the corpses of Blake and the others? By the time she released him they had decayed horribly and he was stark mad and eventually killed her mistaking her for Anna. There was satisfaction to be had in the fact that Servalan was hoist by her own petard and it was beautifully written but it took me several adrenaline and somas to get over the shock to my system. The stories I write tend more towards the redemptive.

Travisina - do hurry up and finish your story. I can't wait to read it!

Jenna- in a PGP story? A woman after my own heart. Our never-ending PGP story features her too. And Grant, of course....Grin

I wonder if there is uber popular B7 fanfiction people would recognize and quote from.
As for Jenna, in my mind she faked her death but Blake thought it real and goes completely mad.
"You'd never get a cat to be a servant. You ever see a cat return a stick? "Hey, man! You threw the stick, you go get it yourself! I'm busy! If you wanted the stick so bad, why'd you throw it away in the first place?"

Annie - I prefer my PGP hopeful if not happy (B7 doesn't really do happy ever after).

The story with the EZ-bake oven warning is called Closing the File. The rebels execute Avon for killing Blake and the paperwork on it ends up in the Federation files after they destroy the rebel base. I usually find it more horrifying when the rebels do nasty things. One expects evil from the Federation, but I have higher standards for the rebels.

I have read one where Avon is imprisoned with the corpses and he continues to interact with them to the point that the Scorpio crew become sort of ghost entities and have some reality outside of Avon's mind. Eventually they get revenge on Servalan. There is some brilliant dialog between Avon and the others, but it is a seriously creepy premise for a story.

Ellen. - on bleak days I get tempted to go down the ain't it awful path of Blakes 7 to push its dystopian values but like you I prefer the hopeful. And the funny. ( though I don't seem able to write the funny well) Thanks for the title. If I feel strong enough I'll look it up. Or maybe not!

Ditto.
After Dec 21st 1981 I found I needed to do something....
So, I found a nice A4 pad, decent biro and a quiet afternoon when the girls were at preschool, or maybe even in bed for the night.
18 months later, I sent it to Alex Delicado...thus was All Our Tomorrows born.

I honestly can't recall, but he did produce the Slave Zine and had a lovely Tarrant 3rd series costume.

In honor of the D13 rewatch that happened today:
He is strongly identified with rebels you see, and very popular with rabbles. They will follow him, and he will fight to the the last drop of their blood.
