Congratulations to everyone!

You *all* contributed to making RTGP3 a fabulous event! Your skills, resources, connections, experience, generosity and enthusiasm are the reasons it was a memorable occasion.

Thank you!

A more in-depth report to follow when I've caught up with the various stuff that was neglected during the build-up.

June Hudson compared Gary's care of the costumes to the Victoria and Albert Museum (High praise indeed!) I think she really enjoyed the day and even joined in on the fan panel!

Yes, coming from June, that was about the highest praise that Gary could receive and well deserved. He has preserved an important part of the programme.

It was nice when June joined in the discussion. I spoke to her afterwards to explain the "two costumes per crew member" in Season D was actually a decision of producer Vere Lorrimer rather than a budgetary constraint, and that it was similar to JNT in Doctor Who, both JNT and Vere wanted the characters in standard costumes to make them more recognisable.

I have a feeling that had June been the costume designer for Season D, Vere would have had much more of a battle on his hands over that decision, and also that Glynis Barber would have ended up in something other than grey jumpsuits!

I said to June that it was a shame she didn't get to work with Glynis, and she said she did - she was the costume designer for 'Jane'. June receives 100 bonus points for that Grin

Thanks for sharing the photos everyone and thank you Clare for your terrific efforts.

Now I just have to get time off work to get a flight to the UK and see the next one for real.

Way to go everyone.

Hi All,
Down and Safe, as of mid-afternoon Monday.
Got the car unpacked, in between the rain showers!
Wow, what a weekend, Brilliant, perfect way to end my holiday.
I will write more soon, but for now a huge ‘Thank You’ to absolutely everyone, organisers, attendees and guests alike, everyone pulled together and made it a fantastic day.

I too thoroughly enjoyed Sunday and would like to thank everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it the success it was. Plus all the rest of you for being such great company!

A tad late; way too fuzzy brained yesterday to form words correctly!

Clare, it was a pleasure to see/chat with you again too. You, PC, everyone involved with RTGP3, organised a memorable day in every way: activities, socialising, guests, atmosphere, and panels.

It's always lovely to chat with friends old and new; I loved Paula's sweets, could gorge on those toffees - everything from adults colouring in through to conversations with the guests and the fan panel - it all brought a smile to my face.

Many thanks to all concerned, and because I wouldn't have been able to attend without her, I'd like to personally thank the Supreme Commander for giving me a lift. Tom deserves praise too, even if it couldn't warn us about traffic hold ups on the M40.

Everyone share photos, I never take enough and want to see loads.

Hope to see everyone again soon - you were all great company!Grin

Down and safe at last!
This time I nearly got sick during the flight back ... not due to turbulences or anything like that but because of that chick in the neighbouring seat. I wouldn't have believed that it is possible to eat sushi in such a disgusting manner!
Now I have to catch up with the Horizon website, sort and upload my piccies, write a report, contribute to the Ogtober challenge ... oh, and there is this thing called 'work' but one has to get ones priorities right. Wink

Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

It was great to see you again, Hugbot. Looking forward to getting your report of the day and your pictures!

I'm back at work tomorrow too - still recovering from my 180 mile round trip drive on Sunday. Please, somebody, invent the teleport?

If we can find some Aquatar, I'm sure Exterminator could build one for us. Wink

Seconded. We'd be here once a month at least if it weren't for the pesky bus fare.

Here are my photos of the event. Sorry it's taken a while! They are mostly of people rather than props etc, as I have rather a lot of these photos already Grin

Work is what I do to get the money for the fun stuff, and I have a photo from RTGP2 on my desk to remind me of that Smile

When Exterminator builds the teleport, I call dibs on a functional bracelet.
