Hmm, 'Grant' is a Scottish name, isn't it?

It's an excellent whiskey (she said, having just come to the end of a bottle last night!)

Glen Grant is one of my favorites.

It's WHISKY in Scotland; Whiskey in Ireland.

If the nation of origin has an E in it (Ireland, America) you use the e, otherwise, not.

Either way it goes down very nicely..

Jamesons for example does have a smoother edge over your classic Scotch but they all do wonders for sore throats and coughs. (That's my excuse anyway!)

Just floating a question here...but does anyone have a table top projector screen and laptop/digital compatible projector?

I've been having discussions recently with Andy Clanger about having a B7 related show reel on the go, which he has kindly agreed to help with...he has the laptop, but nothing bigger to run it on.

Could anyone assist? Cheers Smile

I may be able to borrow a decent projector.. should be able to get a decent resolution on it..

EDIT
I notice the mini one that Andy has located is quoted at a low 320x240 pixels (is that native resolution? If so what can it upscale to?? It doesn't seem to be stated), the one we use are for the training of CAD/CAM software and should be able to do at least 1280x1024.. more probably.

Also the bulb seems a bit dim, which wouldn't be a surprise for a cheap proj. 48lux, which I calculate at about 22 lumens? My sums could be wrong though!

White paper (a couple of A0 sheets can serve well to project onto, too!)

I'll talk to clare/andy between us I'm sure we can work something out!

Ahhh, that sounds perfect PS, if you're OK to look into that? I do have a reasonably sized noticeboard that might do the job, the writing surface is very shiny, but I could attach a sheet of good sized paper to the back of it. I'll have a play about and see what I can rig up. Smile

Have been in contact with Mat Irvine this week, but unfortunately he will be away on 4th October, so he can't join us. However he wishes us well for the event and the show will still go on!

Oh yes!

Gary, Andy, if Mat isn't going to be there, we'd better bring EVERYTHING!

Sorry to hear Mat will miss RTGP this year, but nice of him to wish us all well. No matter, we play well together and we'll have a great time catching up and drooling over costumes and props and people. See you there!

I'm brand new to this forum (although not brand new to this planet), and I'm based in South Wales - anyone else here in my area that I can tag along with to RTGP perhaps?
I'm expendable, I'm stupid and I'm going, if it's fun.

Can't help with the travelling ( coming from Dorking) but it would be lovely to see you there.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Welcome aboard rapstertee!

If all else fails, a lift will be available from Didcot Parkway railway station as it's only 4 miles away. It would be great to see you.
