Clare, and All, has anyone had experience with one of these cheap projectors?

Are they a case of you get what you pay for or are they any good?

We won't make it into Wales this year Sad, but we will be in Edinburgh and the Highlands. May have to make due with a Highlands street sign.

Hmm, 'Grant' is a Scottish name, isn't it?

Ahh I think that would be a tad too large, but thank you for the offer.

It's an excellent whiskey (she said, having just come to the end of a bottle last night!)

Which part of the Highlands Brad?

I visited Fort William 2 years ago, the road to the Isles is particularly beautiful, out to Mallaig and Kyle of Lochalsh.

We haven't picked our tour yet, out of Edinburgh. A couple years ago we did Pitlochry, Cairngorm National Park, Inverness, Loch Ness, Spean Bridge, Fort William, Glen Coe, Rannoch Moor, and loved it.

This year it may be one of the following:

Callander, Pass of Leny, Rob Roy Country, Rannoch Moor, Glen Coe, Fort William, Ben Nevis, The Great Glen, Loch Ness, Loch Ness Centre (optional cruise on Loch Ness), Inverness, Spey Valley, Cairngorm National Park, Perthshire, Fife and the Forth Bridges.

Or

Stirling Castle, The Trossachs, Loch Venachar, Dukes Pass, Aberfoyle, Loch Lomond, Balmaha, Glengoyne Malt Whisky Distillery.

It certainly helped after hours at RTGP1. Maybe with my contribution, we will get an answer to how long the Galactic War was, and not '42' as the answer if I recall correctly.

Just floating a question here...but does anyone have a table top projector screen and laptop/digital compatible projector?

I've been having discussions recently with Andy Clanger about having a B7 related show reel on the go, which he has kindly agreed to help with...he has the laptop, but nothing bigger to run it on.

Could anyone assist? Cheers Smile

I may be able to borrow a decent projector.. should be able to get a decent resolution on it..

EDIT
I notice the mini one that Andy has located is quoted at a low 320x240 pixels (is that native resolution? If so what can it upscale to?? It doesn't seem to be stated), the one we use are for the training of CAD/CAM software and should be able to do at least 1280x1024.. more probably.

Also the bulb seems a bit dim, which wouldn't be a surprise for a cheap proj. 48lux, which I calculate at about 22 lumens? My sums could be wrong though!

White paper (a couple of A0 sheets can serve well to project onto, too!)

I'll talk to clare/andy between us I'm sure we can work something out!

Not that specific one, ideally need something with a decent bright bulb.. My company has a load of Acer projectors (cant recall model number) I should be able to borrow one, they do tend to be hoarded, but I may be able to pull rank as it were..

Indeed your photo there of the tactical layout of the initial conflict at Star One perhaps explains things far better than either of the episodes straddling the Season 'B'arney finale.

That would be wonderful if you could borrow one PS, afterall you are President, if you can't pull rank who can!

I haven't had any experience with these projectors, except many years ago when they were 100's if not 1000's, I was guessing one for under 40 wouldn't be much good but wasn't sure.
