Rewatch - Dr Who
Spaceship Dispatcher
This and Blink, three great episodes in a row.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

The wartime re-enactment is pretty good, but the memorial service scene is another level.

That ending is almost on a par with the finale of Blackadder Goes Forth for the being a tear-jerker ..

He only problem I hvae as a WWI nerd is Tim's age..He appears to be 12-14 yo schoolboy based on is position as a "fag" to the older boys. If Tim was 14 in 1913, the the ealiest he could (legally) volonteer or be caled up would be 18 or 1917but the action seems to indicate that there was a Pals
unit
which were being phased out by conscription introduced in early 1916
I used to be such a sweet sweet thing
Till they got a hold of me.

Sadly, many boys lied about their age so that they didn't get left behind; its not entirely implausable that Tim would be able to do this as Thomas Sangster was actually 17 when the story was filmed.

GoldChannel, after the "Next Time Trailer" plus an article in the Radio Times calling it the most scary episode yet, I was out for the original transmission of Blink. I'd normally have watched it the next day, but deliberately watched it at around 2am in the morning with all the lights off. It worked. Grin

The next day I found myself in a small London park, in the middle of which stood an angel statue. I hurried through quickly, avoiding eye contact.
I love it when Doctor Who makes you scared of everyday objects Smile
