Notice the jack plug on the liberator gun curly cable...they kept pulling out so Mat Irvine replaced them with 5 pin locking Din plugs...
#geeky fact...

That was great. I've got a real soft spot for S-L-D, because it was the first ep of B7 I ever saw. And always fun to rewatch in company - thanks, everybody!

When I had my first proper, complete run through the whole lot of B7, it was with SLD and Destiny that I got finally hooked. Still love this ep ... although there are some tiny plot holes ...

There was also a hugbot in Raumpatrouille (sorry to go on rambling about that ...). Here you can see it trying to hug commander McLane:

Only the best and most expensive things for the BBC!

That does not only hold true for the BBC! You have seen nothing if you have never watched McLane controlling the space cruiser Orion by means of six pencil sharpeners ...

... or his engineer setting the Overkill weapon to manual control by switching a flat iron from silk to wool!

I hasten to add that I love the sets! The clunky Enterprise bridge looks outdated now, but the organic forms of the Orion flight-deck still convey a futuristic feeling. Plus they had the eeriest and most convincing aliens ever!

I love this scene with Rai... it tells you so much about Servie, the way she flirts with him and then pulls rank on him.

General Lydia van Dyke is definitely no Servalan, but she had the ability of giving McLane an order in a harsh voice and simultaneously flirting with him.
