B7 Fan Event - Sunday 13th April
BradPaula
I've already been rooting around my collections for donations for the swap table. Found a few... so what if I can't pick up my suitcase! It's for a great cause! -Paula

I have a couple of books set aside for the swap table.

Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

How long does it take on the train?

Oxford to Didcot takes 20 mins.

Thanks SD. Well I'm planning to get to the hotel by about 10.30ish to drop off my car etc, so perhaps if I can pick you up Ellen about 10.15 that would work? Or catch the 10 o'clock train if there is one?

10:15 will work. It looks like there is a 9:50 train which should arrive shortly after 10:00. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Ellen, what time's the one after? Only because if I end up being later than anticipated arriving then you could be hanging around for half an hour. Looking forward to meeting you too Grin

The next train is at 10:05 and gets to Didcot at 10:20

That sounds better to me. Shall we aim for that one then?

I'll plan on taking the 10:05 train.

Okay, great!

I still can't believe it, but I just booked flight & accommodation for the Steventon event! Looking forward to meet you in the flesh, especially my fellow rewatchers, putting real names, faces and voices to nicks and avatars.
I will arrive at Saturday and stay until Tuesday (allowing for a hangover on Monday). Would be great to join you in the pub after the event and in PCs "guided tour" on Sunday morning (if that is still on offer).

Sopron
Great news, Hugbot. I'm down for Sat-Mon as well (beer being an essential component to any event, in my opinion). Where are you lodging?

BradPaula
Really looking forward to meeting you, Hugbot! I'll introduce you to all the regular rewatchers! LOL. -Paula

I'm staying over on the Sunday night, although can't stay too long Mon morning, cause I have to get home for my kids. Really looking forward to meeting you and the others. Pfft

Karyn and I are staying Saturday night, about 12 miles away unfortunately.

We are still hoping to join you guys on Saturday night for a meal in Steventon if that is the general plan.

Can't stay Sunday night for long as we have to get back and ready for the reality of Monday morning!

Looking forward to seeing everybody.

Thank you BP and SD for the offers of donations for the 'bring and swap' table...greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for your very kind and welcoming words! It feels like coming home now.

Where are you lodging?

My B&B is a wee way outside, approx. 30-40 min. walk. I just picked the first reasonable offer that I found, and I like a little walk.

I'll introduce you to all the regular rewatchers!

Thank you, Paula, I very much appreciate your offer! That will make things easier for me, especially as I have to ramp up my spoken English.

Maybe we can arrange a little Saturday outing to the Pressure Point location at Abingdon, as clanger suggested?

I fear that won't be possible for me as I will arrive late in the afternoon (the exact time will depend on which train I can catch in Heathrow). I haven't yet made any plans for Saturday evening and Monday, but I'm open for (nearly) anything.

Although will only be here for the day, am really looking forward to this event. Will try and get there early to help set up (Clare)

Will be bringing a few things to the 'swap table'
Sure we have a few misc spares somewhere

Not too far away now! Smile

Is that two of us enjoying a little walk or two of us lodging some distance away? (I don't think that you refered to the other points I mentioned. You don't need to be introduced or to get used to talking in English, won't you? Grin)

I shall just be coming over on the day on Sunday. It's only an hour's drive from where I live.

No, ramping up my spoken English!!!!
My first language is 'Ampshire, then English!! (Although whilst on the phone I do tend to employ a BBC voice!)
My French Teacher, bless him, actually said it was the first time he's heard French spoken with a Hampshire Accent and my English teacher at Sixth Form College was quite content to let me continue reading out aloud one of Chaucer's poems as she reckoned that was how it would have sounded if he had been reading it out loud.
So you have been warned!
But seriously, looking forward to meeting every B7 fan who is venturing over here for this little do.

Just going through everything...four boxes so far!!
I have gone through my rescued B7 annuals and shall be bringing copies of all 3 annuals with me, plus some of the rescued paperbacks as well. I've also got some duplicate copies of the LPF Newsletters...and for Clare, a spare copy of of a drawing done of Tarrant by Alison Newns way back in 1985!

Great stuff Sue and will certainly have to spare a moment to view a particular item! Grin
