Wow, Hugbot, never heard of Space Maidens, is this something else I should be looking out for?

I believe Hugbot means Star Maidens, which did indeed star Gareth Thomas. It's a real fun watch if you can find it. -Paula

I believe it's still available on youtube ... that's how we watched it!

Well it's certainly light hearted entertainment ....

I was quite intrigued by the premise; battle of the sexes from the other perspective, 70's-style. I hadn't been quite prepared for the euro/soft-pron overlay, which I guess is naive of me! Talk about the past being another country!

Anyway, I'll stick with it for a giggle, if only to see the lovely Gareth doing his teccie/Deva thing for a change Wink

Blimey, over half the people have been watching B7 since January 1978.

As someone who's only watched since January 1980 (past my bedtime in 1978 and 1979), I'm one of the youngsters around here. Grin

Ah, but now you have the advantages of youth and still the satisfaction of being in on (some) of the original broadcasts.

Best of both worlds, young-'un!

I do suddenly feel much younger looking at the result of this poll, despite being (just) the wrong side of a certain landmark age. Grin

I saw the last few episodes of B7 s4 when they were shown on the ABC Australia in the mid 80's here being too young and not watched it from start I had no idea what it was about except people wearing fancy costumes, rubber mask monsters and those space buggies from Animals. in the early 1990's the BBC brought out complilation tapes of B7 made up of various episodes which borrowed a few times from my local video store. Then in the early 1990's the whole series came out on VHS which I collected. I was a horzon member for 3 years also.

Been a fan since January 1978. Joined fan club Liberator Popular Front and when it closed I joined Horizon. First convention was Deliverance 1998. Used to audio tape the episodes - before VCR`s, then bought all the videos when they were first released followed by all the DVD`s. My favourite programme ever. When my daughter was old enough to watch it she became a fan too and attended conventions with me.

Pam, do you still have any of the earlier LPF's newsletters? I only found out and joined them after Teal Vandor 1981, so I don't have a complete run of their newsletters.
I'm hoping to start scanning some of this stuff in, although the Roneo Printing isn't exactly very clear.

Been a fan since it first aired in 1978. Sadly I wasn't 8! I was at university.

My first crush at the age of 8 was Scott Tracey from Thunderbirds…………sad but true. I'm not sure when I cottoned on that he was a puppet. I suspect my crush came to an abrupt end.

I (as did all my female university friends) had a MASSIVE on Avon!

Scott Tracy was one of my first heartthrobs...I was about 12 and I was jsut getting over the very Brave Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty!
I had the great priviledge of meeting Mr Rimmer at Brit SciFi and he still has that twang in his voice. I told him that my Grandson insists that Scott is only 18inches tall and made out of wood...while I insist that he is at least 6ft tall and flies an aircraft at 6,500 MPH. Grandson also believes that he can see strings...what strings say I.
So I had a smashing weekend in March, meeting Scott Tracey and meeting, again, Mr D!
Yes, I too, was hooked after episode 2 (aged 23 and a bit!!)
