Thanks to Travisina for restoring my account... things are playing up tonight so I'm been less keen and Cullen-like in my posts Grin

Clever! I didn't really notice that bit before.

Personally, I don't buy that a very young Servie killed a Federation Guard. Although the fun is this is working how much is the "truth" and how much is an exaggeration.

I hadn't noticed before but you can hear Cullen shuffling the paper on his pad and writing things down. The BF sound team is amazing.

Agreed Smile

Sound by Martin Montague, who is brilliant - from large vistas to tiny sound details. Widescreen and 3D (eg the direction people enter and exit a scene), as well as doors, clothes rustling and paper shuffling...

Cullen is already far too relaxed.... he's massively under-estimated Servie.

Thanks Travisina, that's really interesting!

Well, my post went 16 minutes upstream. I mentioned that hearing Servalan here reminded me of something Tarrant had said once. Something about facing the business-end of a poisonous snake?
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

The music is excellent too, nicely understated - enhancing the dialogue without dominating it (unlike Doctor Who...)

The fun with this was trying to guess how it was going to end... and then coming nowhere close to what she actually does....

Yes, it's quietly menacing....

I've been listening again to LC#9 and I believe Martin Montague is the sound designer for those discs- amazing. I particularly love how he makes the character's voice come and go while they walk up or away from the scene.

This is the kind of soundscape that I like, and I wish they would make the effects this subtle and effective all the time.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

Yes, he did LibChrons 9 as well. And I agree about the way he treats voices to sound not only whether they're approaching or leaving, but also the direction in which they're going.

Was the journalist named after B7 and Dr Who actor Ian Cullen maybe?

If we get to interview James Goss, I'll have to remember to ask him that!
