He wasn't in that much outside Who was he?

I actually like Simon Rouse's manic Hindle.

I find his comedy performance and the serious concepts quite jarring myself.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

Just idly strolling by, but your mention of That's Life stirs memories. It was my very first job as an assistant-assistant-assistant-editor (before I was even a trainee-assistant). Working with Esther Rantzen - what an experience! And yes, I got to meet Adrian and Doc Cox and Grant whatisname and the other one...

No, but Spyders Web was a very good series in the same mould as The Avengers...

I like how the Doctor uses the coin trick learnt from Adric to gain the confidence of the Kinda.

A mute race is certainly a good JNT book balancing trick to not pay the cast!

Used to watch it every Sunday.

Did being assistant-assistant-assistant editor include making the tea Grin

I'll have to look up what That's Life was now, as I have never heard of it! Sorry Travisina!

It's a shame Tegan is out of action, but necessary to show the trauma she's been through.

Don't see how its necessary to marginalise a leading cast member like this, and its especially interesting that both leading regular female cast members are now off the scene. I don't generally agree with critics claims that Doctor Who was sexist, but there are some cases where cast members were treated badly and gender seems to play a part.

Rather strange comment to make in a story when the males are treated as babbling idiots, and females as the superior intelligence.

Some of the dialogue in this is so strong.

The build up to the end of the episode is quite brilliant.

I can now see why some people thought Kate Bush wrote it, it's turned into one of her videos Grin

Maybe, but in the real world Janet and Sarah were being badly treated compared to Peter and Matthew. Some lines where Mary Morris gets to call men idiots doesn't really improve how certain regulars were treated behind the scenes, that they could be cut out of a story in this way. imo its not great, and an area where the new series does do better.

The montage is quite good, although I'm not sure what the alarm clock was doing there! Grin
