Rewatch - Dr Who

Erm. Castrovalva, when the Doctor and Adric are invalided out of the action, andTegan and Nyssa carry the show??? Wink

A story written by Chris Bidmead, who imo was a much better 'head writer' (in modern terms) than his immediate successors. I don't really count Castrovalva as part of this era in writing terms, although it was filmed later, as its written more in the superior style of s18 and by that season's script editor.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

The montage is quite good, although I'm not sure what the alarm clock was doing there! Grin

The Kinda are primitive but they still have to get up in the morning Grin Grin

Wouldn't they have electric sundials?

Adric screws up again... Grin

SD, Adric is the bumbling fool, while Tegan is back to his usual self...

Tegan gets told to "look after Adric" so even when she's back, she's not in the story.

Hindle and Sanders now come across as quite dangerous in their deranged states.

Janet still shines, even without much to work with after the dream...

"You can't mend people, can you?"

So apt in this story, which is all about psychological fear.

Tegan and Adric bickering in a doorway. Awful padding!!

Nearly crap snake time. It annoys me that people don't like this story because of one bad effect, when much of the rest of it is so good.

The scene would make more sense if wasn't Hindle that tore the figure...

The snake scene is fine, its most of the rest of it I don't get along with! Grin

I like the way the Doctor doesn't respond to Tegan;s question about whether the Mara is truly gone.

I love experimental stories that push the boundaries a bit... this was the Love & Monsters of 1982 Wink

He would get on well with the Moff then. He doesn't like answering plot questions either! Grin

Great story that led for the door open for a potentially great sequel. Shame we didn't get one Grin
