The System Chase Craft scratch build
After reading a back issue of the Horizon newsletter, I seem to have another box from EMA...

Seems to be tubes and cones and things...

The plans in the newsletter are to make them to the same scale as the Comet miniature Liberator kit. so here goes.

Now assembled.

With 10 tiny panels cut from .5mm plasticard.

Then there were two.

Used milliput to shape the engine shroud.

The nose cone struts are not easy to cut as they are tiny.

Another tricky bit was the solar panels on the side, needed 20 of them, each with 7 ridges on them, so had an idea of sticking 7 strips of platicard together to make tiny steps, then cutting it into strips and gluing on the side rails.

After more sanding of the engine shroud and sticking on the panels, we have this.

After a few more tweeks and coats of paint, they are looking a bit more like it.

Will update once I have done a bit more...

Kudos on the detail of the build! And being good enough to share photos of it too. Thanks!
Quick update, after spending way too long working out the size of the stripes, masked off with 2mm strips of masking tape and painted.
Now just got to clean up the paint bleed and just about finished.
