I am really liking this full cast story arc. When I get Caged, and listen, I'll then go through them again in order to get the full effect of them. Keep 'em coming, Big Finish. Anxiously waiting for November and the Second Full Cast arc of stories. -Paula

I've just finished Caged & really, really enjoyed it. Super story with some nice little twists in there, superb acting & great music.

I'm going to go through the whole series again as well. I'm planning to take them on holiday & listen to them then.

President Solvite
Finished listening to it and really enjoyed it.. Cast all got plenty to do. Hugh Fraser as the President is superb.

Perhaps the best of all the recent full cast audios

That was a GOOD one.

Hugh Fraser is an excellent addition as the President, and I like what they did with Vila here.

Probably the pick of this mini-series.

I've just taken the plunge and bought all the full-cast audios, from Warship to Caged. I've only listened to the docu on Warship so far, but it's really got me in the mood to start with them! I've loved what Big Finish did so far with Dr Who, their 50th anniversary special 'The Light At The End' was fantastic- their writers seem to really get the feel of the shows they pay tribute to. Can't wait for more B7!!

I really enjoyed Caged, as well as all the stories which came before it. I think it's quite refreshing to hear Jenna be so strident in her views to Blake. They actually are arguing for once and the writers do not have Jenna follow Blake around with blind admiration in her eyes, as often was done in the series. I do hope the writers continue to write Cally and Jenna as strong women in future stories.

Hugh Fraser is brilliant as the President and it was nice to read in the liner notes that he was a huge Blake's 7 fan in the day. Looking forward to the next full cast arc. -Paula

Just started listening to this one this morning. Orac is noticeably silent so far...

Just up to the dining in style part. I'm not sure what Cally did with that drink - hurled it away? I was expecting her to throw it over him.

The baddies are looking for Orac's key. It could be anywhere on a ship the size of the Liberator, but it will be interesting to see if it is actually under everyone's noses. The key often gets hidden inside Orac in fanfic, since it looks like just another bit of the home made super computer.

Travis keeps asking Avon where the key is. Avon keeps replying "I don't have it", or words to that effect, as if he's trying to fool some lie detector that hasn't been mentioned. Why doesn't Travis just say "No, but you know where it is" instead of chuffing 'round the same circular track?

We know Travis is ruthless and hates Blake, but was he ever portrayed as a sadist in the series? See what comes of hanging around crimos?

Vila actually had a funny rejoinder! Bravo - better than all that nonsense with the fingers and thumbs earlier in the run.

I know the pressure's getting to them but I was surprised that Jenna would bring up Gan. (Apparently they're all grieving for him but I must be thick as I didn't get that from anything in the stories. A couple of blokes speaking at the end of episode 5 had to point it out to me). I much prefer when she's more sympathetic to Blake.

Stressful times indeed. Though, as the poet said,
Despite suffering all the friction
Jenna kept her impressive diction.

("Got. Em." - Ha! Who gave Sally Knyvette that line?)

Still, it's all a laugh and things are rolling along quite nicely, though they did mention TRUST in front of Cally, and she didn't even bring up her famous Auron saying. That's how serious things are, folks!

Hi mods,

Any chance we can rename this as the Spoiler thread for Caged, seeing as we also have another general thread here?

Meant to say the other obvious place would have to be with Vila, if he's not a clone.

Typical of the Book Depository. I order this and Cold Fury, but this one turned up first!

Though I won't mind if I get LC:9 before LC:8

Oh Vila I love you. Having Orac's key on him the whole time.

Croucher once again was fantastic! Love the older sounding voice on him.

Hugh Fraser as the President was so good! Will he be in a Liberator Chronicle?

I really love how Vila was written, everyone underestimates a "fool" or think he's weak and quick to chance sides.

I liked Vila pointing out how fast Jenna was to "betray" them in Leopard Wall Climber (Bounty right? Why do I remember my silly name for the story over the real one?)

What a wonderful season of audios. I have to say I liked the second half more than the first.

Loved this one, a really good drama for all of the characters! An interesting plot with some good visual ideas, plenty of dialogue with not too many sound effects. This developed logically and progressively, tied up the series, linked to TV continuity without being slaved to references, and left the characters in the right place for the end of the TV series. Very good.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.
