Adventures with the Wife and Blake
Gary Bates
Just a reminder that this blog is now up an running has already covered the first couple of episodes:

http://thewifeand...

Anyone familiar with their previous Doctor Who blog will know that this is a lot of fun and can often be very funny!! Paul Darrow has even made an appearance in their trailers..

Cygnus Alpha is up.

Some great lines once again:

"Is it Servalan?"
"Does the teleport effect have its own theme tune? That’s nice."
"Paul Darrow looks like he should be playing keyboards with Gary Numan’s Tubeway Army."
"Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Brian Blessed turns up."

Grin Grin Grin

Great stuff, as always!

These are a complete scream, VERY enjoyable!
So glad Sue is liking them.

Even better: several of those commenting on the thread say they too (as fans of NP's "Adventures with the Wife in Space" DrWho blog) are watching Blake's 7 too for the 1st time, & liking it too! :)
NEW SOULS FOR THE FAITH!

I can't believe all the hate for The Web, I rather like it! And I think the Decima design, and their character, is pretty well done.

Saymon looks better/more creepy on a small 70s telly, and/or if you're 8 years old. HD and big screens do him no favours!

I think Grandson said something along the lines of 'What.....is.....that?!' before keeling over with laughter, ' and can we have that in our fishtank?'
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

The Web isn't bad, easy to make fun of yeah, but it's not bad.
Sue had a similar reaction to the Decima's as Michelle.

The problem is whenever B7 was mentioned, it was usually this episode which was shown...to hoots of laughter from the TV audience.

Maybe nobody wants to mention Blake? The audience will be upset for the rest of the show. But yeah a shame.

If you go to my you tube link and locate Paul's appearance on Noel Edmunds Telly Years 1978, Part One, you will see what I mean. And then Noel goes on about wobbly sets.
This is what I found most annoying about the Beeb's efforts to disgrace B7...have the actual actors there as the audience snigger at their programmeSad
