Protest Colin Rewatch - The Harvest Of Kairos
trevor travis
The episode: Colin Five - Carry On Captain Shad
The date: Tuesday, May 27th, 2014
The time: 7.45pm UK time

In which we find Servie likes 'em rough, Avon falls in love with a rock, Tarrant is put in charge of the Libby and falls for the oldest trick in the book, and Jarvik guns down Sue Perryman Grin

Kairos is a dangerous world. The National Trust own it, but have an open week every 15 years. But overstay that week by a day, and the National Trust send Brian The Spider/Vacuum Cleaner to hoover up anyone without a membership card.

Everyone is welcome to join in this most enjoyable of episodes.

If I can get home from work in time (assuming the trains are running properly, unlike this evening, grrr) - I'll be happy to join you! 'Tis a silly episode, but it has its moments and I do like Jarvik Smile

Always liked Harvest. Let me amend that, I've always liked Jarvik, even though he is a beats-on-his-chest-Tarzan-type of man. And if you cannot stomach macho Jarvik, then we can all have a good laugh at Brian the spider crunching the kairopan. -Paula

I hope to be there!
I can use the good cheer up of proper silliness and the looks of my hero in red...
Jarvik should not be dead. He shouldhave been around as semi-regular, popping up now and then.

See you all online for this on Tuesday evening Happy

...is this Horizon's first 'protest rewatch'? Grin
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

I think so. Grin

It might have been "Harvest" anyway, no-one had taken me up on a proposed relisten to "Jenna's Story". But for moment it got 0/10 from SP, it had to be this episode Grin

I'm not entirely sure how our rewatches have ended up in sync with the Wife's, but that's all to the good. Bring on the protest rewatches!
Anyway, I think it's too soon for Jenna's Story - I think it should be slotted into Season Derek, as it covers most of that timeline, too.

Reading the W&B blog is like reading 'Private Eye' - it makes me laugh at the time, but is so full of negativity that I end up feeling a bit grubby and disgruntled afterwards. Angry

A reminder that this "protest rewatch" takes place tonight.

Bring along your virtual banners and placards, as we enjoy everything that is wonderful about "Harvest".

0/10 - pah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GrinGrin

Sorry folks, am going to miss another re-watch. Garden club committee duty calls.

Have a good one though...and perhaps someone would rush in and brush off Tarrant's costume on my behalf after the fight scene...thank you. Grin

I shall be here...if I can tear myself away from the Adam Adamant DVDs (thank you Joe Dredd, I'm now hooked watching my computer!!!)
I'm not too sure how one does a screen shot, but I would love to compare Mr Adamant to Mr Avon. They are both supposed to be about 37 years old in their respective series. And both actors seem to have the same facial features.
I watched the one with Colin Jeavons last night...loved it!

I'm home from work at a reasonable time, so will be able to join you tonight.

Clare, I'm happy to do any brushing of Tarrant required! I actually dreamed about Steven Pacey last night - probably because of our upcoming theatre trip Grin

Good point about "Jenna's story"... it probably would work better slotted into "Derek" at some point.

As for the W&B blog, I know what you mean. I decided to read the whole of "Harvest" blog (I normally just have a look at the mark and concluding comments), just to see what she disliked. Right, so she doesn't like Servalan, she doesn't like Vila, she doesn't like Tarrant (no Blake in this one, but she doesn't like him either). All she seems to like is Avon! Grin

Mind you, at least B7 fandom hasn't issued any death threats to her. Apparently she tore "Tomb Of The Cybermen" to pieces... and received a few!! I think our way of a peaceful protest rewatch is better Grin

What pray tell, should we do about Tarrant's visible pantie line? You remember during the fight scene with Jarvik, our hero in that light-coloured costume shows more than he bargained for. Should we avert our eyes, Clare?

Sorry you can't make it tonight! -Paula

Mmm. Heinz cream of tomato soup for me. The only comfort food that can cheer up a drear and rainy day!

We can extend tonight's rewatch by a couple of minutes if you want to use the pause button Paula Grin Grin

Heinz Tomato soup is the best, but as I have half tin a day for my lunch at midday it would cost a fair fortune. So I have Aldi's Tomato soup which is just as nice, but on a cold, wet day you cannot beat Heinz. And a nice crust of brown bread to dip in it. Mmm
