Kevin's B7 doco - part three
I loved your documentaries Kevin. Thank you so much for putting them on You Tube. Absolutely fantastic!

Grin I'm intrigued by your last sentence. "To be honest, I'd do it all very differently now, so let these originals stand as they were for the time being..." Do you have something else planned? Grin
Kevin J Davies
Thanks again, all of you. Seems others have noticed the recent YouTube postings. iO9 is a top geeky website. This might draw attention from the BBC who might ask for the docus to be removed. Hope not.

That Documentary Filmmaker
I've finally found time to watch all three parts of Kevin's documentary on Blake's 7. What a shame these were not part of the boxed set! I do so wish they could be bundled up and sold as a separate entity, but that's neither here nor there.

I think the documentary was a bouquet of roses for the fans. Kevin did such a meticulous job of researching, interviewing and editing clips, it was riveting until the end.

I especially loved part 3 and our dear Steven Pacey. His anecdotes had me laughing out loud at times. His and the dynamic duo of Gareth Thomas and Michael Keating kept a grin on my face throughout. I loved all three parts and it made me realize why I got into the series all those years ago and why I still love and cherish Blake's 7. So- a huge thank you and debt of gratitude to Kevin Davies. I loved every minute of your documentary! Grin -Paula
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.
I dont suppose anyone is any good at creating DVD covers? It would be great to put these on a disc with decent covers- I dont have the software or the know how ;-)
Oh, one thing I forgot to mention. It was very touching to see the likes of Terry Nation, Vere Lorrimer, David Maloney, and David Jackson in the documentary. It's our permanent record and reminder of the greats of Blake's 7 who have passed. -Paula

Well said Paula! I treasure the Horizon newsletters like the farewell to Vere, and the anecdotes and fond memories of his colleagues and casts are joyful to behold, and it's especially heartwarming to hear them made in KJD's documentary. It's been a big privilege to enjoy their work as it went out, and to enjoy them enjoying us enjoying their work Grin

Being in "showbiz" - as producers, directors, writers and actors - is ultimately about making people's lives happier or more fulfilling. So I'm glad they had as much fun as we do, however angsty things got trying to make gold from a shoestring.
Would be great to have these on a dvd after all the hard work that has gone into them
this is just brilliance!!!

Stephen Pacey's contributions especially are so funny .. and what amazing screentest footage. Pacey rockin' that belted coat Grin
