I'm seriously considering joining you all! Please would you all tell me where you are staying overnight, as I need to book that too!
yClare, how does one book for the show entry on the Saturday?

Meegat, Hubby and I are leaving very early Saturday morning and are staying at the North Hinckley Travel Lodge on Saturday evening, about 5 miles from the Space Centre. It is costing us just over 29 all told, but we will be having breakfast somewhere else.
Hope to see you on Saturday. (We've also bought tickets for Sunday!)
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

Thanks for the info Sue! I have bought my ticket for the Saturday but I've not decided yet about staying over.

Calling all who are attending Brit sci-fi!! Is there an appetite or any interest for a group of us fans to get together in the evening?

Thanks to those who have already replied, but I don't want to muscle in on any husband and wife twosomes, if you get my drift. If yes, then please reply with where you are staying/going that evening. Otherwise I will probably just drive home.

As long as Hubby and I can get to our Travel Lodge, book in and get changed, we will be more than pleased to meet up for meal, or something.
And he doesn't mind missing his football either.
Could we all get together somewhere? I don't know Leicester, at all

That's a lovely idea Sue and how kind of hubbie to offer missing his football! Well let's see if there are any other takers?!!

Finally got my ass into gear and booked up for the Saturday. Not sure what time I'm staying to... but I will try to make the meal in the evening if possible.

We're booked for the Saturday - unfortunately won't be staying in the evening - there is a limit to pcminor & friends tolerance of my sad madness...

Looking forward to hanging out with you guys all day, tho

As the topic of food has been raised...for those who have been before what are the eating facilities like at the NSC? Thanks...

Simple plain lunch stuff, clareblues. Usually a couple of homemade soups, sandwiches, cakes, crisps etc...

Hubby and I have been having a look round and it seems that there is a Red Cow pub right on the door step of the Travel lodge in which we are staying.
Post Code is LE3 3PG.
There is also one just a bit down the road, Forest park, LE3 3GD.
Considering we will have been up at 5am that morning I expect we will trundle back to the TravelLodge, get changed and then go to either of the above to get a meal and then get some sleep.
It's called getting old!!!.Grin
And then, we will be back at the Space Centre the next day!!! All refreshed.

No worries Littlesue and thanks for the info! I'm afraid I'm not going to commit either way at the moment. I think it may be a case of seeing how everyone feels on the day.
