R.I.P Bob Hoskins.
Sad to learn of his passing. A great actor.

I always thought of him as Vila's older, tougher brother.

Sylvester McCoy's first gig in show business was in a two man comedy act. Syl's partner was none other than Bob Hoskins.

Here's the interesting bit: Sylvester McCoy was the straight man.

Per a panel discussion I heard with Sylvester McCoy at Newcastle last year.

Spaceship Dispatcher
His most memorable role for me was as Professor Challenger in the wonderful BBC/Impossible drama based on Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle's classic SF novel The Lost World; he played the part as forceful and dominant but warm and likable at the same time. Very sad news.
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

President Solvite
Shocked and saddened by Bob's departure.

Rest in Peace
I've just heard this news and was shocked to hear of his passing. I fondly remember his role in 'Roger Rabbit'... Thoughts go out to his family and friends at this sad time.
The foolish reject what they see;
the wise reject what they think.
I'm really saddened by this news. What a talent in many and varied roles. He'll be sorely missed. RIP -Paula
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.
Very sad news. I loved him in Mona Lisa, and thought he was brilliant in Roger Rabbit.

Aww, Mario Sad
Loing good friday, raggedy rawney RIP. Remember him best for the adult literacy films he did with Eckersely from Monster of Peladon?
