Indeed. How do any of these settings have gravity?

"check the outer hatch to see if someone is trying to join us" The first time Avon realises that Blake has some good ideas?

Well, Avon wasn't political, so it is possible that his brother was still alive.
If he was a bright as Avon, I expect he would have got himself a new ID

The "Liberation" book argues that his brother is missing and probably dead - but in such a way Avon can't be sure. No way to search, no way to find out. If Avon had known his brother was dead for sure then the defence mechanism wouldn't have worked. They argue Avon must have strong feelings for his brother, and this is part of his attachment to Blake.

No screen credit for Aitch! Boo!

He's a bit player in everything - Star Wars, Doctor Who, The Professionals, Fawlty Towers, Young Ones, Bond, Carry On, Superman, Indiana Jones movies, I Claudius, OFAH etc etc etc! I think he turns up as primitive in Deliverance, too.

No, but if he was alive, wouldn't they round him up as he becomes one of the galaxy's most wanted?

I maybe have to pick this up. I have Muirs book and hated all the constant talk of Space:1999.

Before everyone disbands, I just want to repeat the warning about Security Flood Barrier Banning (see also Post 92). Gauda Cheese fell foul of it today, Spaceship Dispatcher is well familiar with it!

If you try to post too rapidly, the website perceives you to be a spambot ('no human being can post that quickly') and bans you automatically. You then have to wait for an available Admin person to reinstate you.

The advice is to slow down! If your post doesn't appear straight away, don't keep hitting buttons - whether back or post or whatever - wait for at least a minute. If you're thrown off the site, wait before re-entering. Remember that this is a forum, not a message board, and is not designed for rapid fire messaging from the same person.

Another 'feature' of rewatches is posts appearing out of order. Website Mutoid is still trying to get to the bottom of that, but so far has established that it's the host server, not the website itself that's the problem.

Anyway, enough of that - it was fun watching with you, and I hope to be able to join you again next time!

Go for it, GC. It's a very good book - very considered. You won't agree with all of it but has lots of good info and opinion.

Also, it's just been re-released so it's actually available for a reasonable price.
