Let's think about it - that would be a first, Tarrant!

I find it kind of odd that they suck out the contents of the brains but then feed the "husks" to the Core.

Yes, doesn't really work if you think about it.

Sorry about these long threads. I used to be able to clip the quotes properly but haven't figured it out again lately.

It does take a while ! And can leave quite a mess if one gets it wrong...speaking from experience!

Yeah, I just messed it up. For some reason the original description of what to do made sense. Then I had a long break whilst going off to help Syrian refugee friends in Turkey and it all slipped my mind. A bit like Vila is experiencing right now.

One interesting thing about "The Human Bonding Ceremony" is that they were unable to extract anything about it from Cally. That rather puts paid to arguments from all the Cally/Avon shippers. Grin

Although it would look/feel quite different to an observer from when you are personally involved. That many human specimens can't all have been virgins. Perhaps the ultras want to look at it dispassionately.

The Ultras with all their veins kind of remind me of blue cabbages.

Very convenient that Cally and Avon's memory tubes are just sitting there. And how does Tarrant know that they're the right ones?

But even dispassionately they must have been aware of what the act looked like. Presumably, they hadn't yet accessed 'The Joy of Sex'.

He doesn't. There is at least one fanfic I know of where they get swapped. Smile

Jokey ending, as usual. I guess it's a stress-release mechanism after what they've been through. This one rates 'medium', for me. Some are a lot worse/less appropriate.
