So long, YouTube B7 uploads!
SmegheadChey
Well, I come back here today to bring some bad news.

It looks like that the very charming fellas at BBC Studios have copyright-striked the YouTube uploads of loads and loads of B7 episodes... This upsets me the most as I would've never gotten into the show if it wasn't for the uploads on YouTube. Sad

I wonder if some TV channel are about to finally show the entire series again! I know BritBox are about to show various other TV sci-fi series soon, alas, B7 doesn't seem to be amongst them....yet!

I've watch loads of B7 episodes on YouTube over the years; you should have seen the amount of "views" most episodes had! Something is definitely in the pipe-line I think

My husband has been a B7 fan way longer than I have; he couldn’t get the DVDs for years as too expensive. Therefore I've only been able to watch them due to YouTube. If they do pop up on another streaming service please keep us posted!

YOuTube have said that Space City video of mine contains about 60 seconds of a B7 episode and is trimming it as we speak. If that fails, I shall ask my Grandson to edit the video for me.

My 'The Daleks in Blake's 7' video, which is a re-edit of the last few minutes of Star One, has so far escaped the cull!

Am surprised that the series was up as long as it was if I am being honest. Maybes it is about to appear on Britbox?

Am okay. I got all the episodes ripped to my computer from the DVDs(Dutch version if you want to know). I never watched the episodes on YouTube anyway. I even ripped the episodes from the UK sets that have the commentaries. And all the extras. Takes up about 200GB on my hard drive.

After a very long period of living in B7-free zones and dealing with chronic illness I went looking for beloved B7 saying to myself, hopefully some nice person has put it on YouTube, and thus, and behold it was so. And it wasn't just the shows, it was all the other vids as well. It was the most wonderful moment when I rediscovered it, truly wonderful, and I can't thank enough all those kind people who put the vids out there. But the BBC did ok out of it because then I went and bought all the then-new DVDs.

I think Grandson would have run off at great speed...especially after seeing me aged 32 walking towards the camera!
But Youtube did it for me, so Grandson can relax now.....

I was talking about this with someone on Twitter the other day, and I came to the conclusion that the full episodes were available for so long illegally on YouTube because the BBC probably didn't care too much.

If I was a gambling man, I'd say it was a precursor to them being put on BritBox. From what I've read, it sounds like the logical home for Blake's 7 in the streaming age.

The thing is, I can access all the episodes on YouTube. On another forum we did have a discussion about who could and who could not see the episodes. It made no sense- a fellow American could not access any and I could. Strange.

Maybe it depends on geographical area?

It can and does. AMC, for example, release promos and teasers for new episodes of The Walking Dead to YouTube which are often unavailable for viewing outside of the US. So if I want to watch the clip, I have to wait for somebody to upload it on another site that isn't region-locked.

That's weird indeed.
Can you still watch them now?
Lorna told me about it, but at that time I was still able to watch them.
I can't watch them any more since last Wednesday.

Yes, all episodes are up and I used YouTube to watch Harvest of Kairos today.
