You're not sulking, I hope?

Hey - OSP, if you're with us, thanks for setting my mind to rest about the Dalek thing. I'd remembered it from seeing it in the cinema, I think, aged.... well, a long time ago, anyway. And it was so scary!!!! But brilliant.

Anyway, on with the Pratchett.

Hi M_Virn -

Started with a tin of Heinz Minestrone, to which added handfuls of pea shoots, chilli flakes, black olives, pre-cooked carrots&onions, + cut up chunks of Babybel cheese. Random, but yummy!

Like a cakey sconey sort of thing with fruit in, and cherry eyes and almond teeth. That is a bad description but it tastes nice!

Shall we talk about Mort, then...?

So, Mort, then. How far did everyone get?

Finished.

It was the first Pratchett I ever read, which I'm glad about, because it was from this point that he started to get really good. It's the one I usually recommned to newbies to start with.

I was happy to revisit it, because it's been years - decades - since I last read it, and I wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered.

I read the graphic novel version at school, I think, but this is the first time Iíve read-read it. I finished, too.

Interesting, because I came to it after some of the others and felt it lacked some of the detail they'd had. Still a great idea.

I didn't know there was a graphic novel version! How does it compare?

He was still introducing Discworld and its various regions. For example, Ankh-Morpork

Oh, now youíre asking! Itís quite a while ago, you know... I remember I liked the graphic novel, and I could still picture odd snippets of it, but Iíd need to read them side by side to really compare. The storyís the same. Actually, considering itís Pratchett, managing to draw some of what goes on must have been a feat in itself!
