The names of the Ortega crew interest me because of the Sonheim and Dortmunn with their Germanic origins.

And in true B7 tradition, everyone is known by their surnames, apart from Sara. For the story to work, she had to be known by her first name, but a couple more crew called by their first name would have been good.

Is there any indication that the Ortega crew knows who Blake and Co are?

I don't think there have been any sign of them knowing.

Interesting point. Would they have been so willing to accept help from escaped fugitives, who have the Federation snapping at their heels?

The Liberator is mentioned and it's capabilities but no-one puts 2+2 together. Maybe their notoreity hadn't got that far yet.

Possibly. Also, the Destinians are more preoccupied with their own survival and probably not paying too much attention to global - I mean, galactic - affairs.

Ripe for proselytising.

Love he "Oh yes she is" moment with Avon.
GARETH THOMAS: Paul is a very generous man, as a human being and as an actor. The programme couldnít have been made if we hadnít got on. Our working relationship was magic.

They may be agricultural but they've got some good weapons.
GO Avon! I'd smack her too.

I don't understand why Sara insisted on staying. Once she lost the neutritope she was putting herself at greater risk staying than going with the rest

Maybe she didn't fancy facing Destinian justice, and hoped to throw her lot in with her contacts?

I'd always assumed Mandrian was a first name.

It's a nice ending to a relatively mild ep.

It does seem rather fatalistic for her to do so.

That is an either/or, isn't it? A lot of first names have few syllables so I guess I assumed it was a last name.

That was fun - thanks for the company! I'll start the thread for next week's ep - hope to see you then.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the rewatch Travisina and Meegat and for pausing for me. I think I had competing software laying claim to the drive. Killed them both and started again.

I won't be here next week. It's my dearly beloved's 70th Birthday dinner. Feel free to go ahead without me.

xx
