Comments - B7 Advent Calendar 2019

TT, once again you've brightened my day. Grin

And Anniew, I'm still working out who is who in your poem.

The thought of Gan in an apron made me smile too. Did anyone spot Mr Jackson in last Monday's Special Branch. He was cooking there as well; Derran Nesbit's hand Owwwwwwww
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

I thought: Blake, Avon, Jenna, Vila, Gan and Cally

The thing is if it is Avon in the verse about buying a gift, I will personally have to interpret it as him buying it for the lovely Cally and not the awful Anna/Sula/whatever its name is this week creature.

@Anniew: beautiful poetry and great imagery to give more insight into our heroes ... loved it!
@TT: Knowing your Advent Calendar stories, I refrained from having tea while reading it ... wise decision! You had me in stitches. Thanks for the jolly romp!

TT - that was *hilarious*!
And what a brilliant scheme by Og!

I wish to see this one illustrated, yes. Og in a Queen of Sin get-up... Also I wonder how much one would charge for that 4-bottom shot. 60 credits? And if a certain computer expert bottom was squeezed in there too - 75? Or a bit more? Cool

Joe Dredd
TT, I'd tell you your story contains a delightful ending but I fear you'd mentally drop the 'ing'.

For a moment there, when Soolin & Dayna broke into the room and discovered envelopes and a photocopier, I thought the boys had started a fanzine and were writing their own fan fiction. It sort of proved to be true in the end, but with Blake!

I love the meta-ness of it all too. It reminds me of an old Goon Show, "Six Charlies in Search of an Author", where the characters keep taking over and writing the story in their own favour. "Seizing the typewriter, the East Finchley Wolf Cub drove off with the millionairess in her sports car."

BradPaula
TT, you know I love your stories and this was a corker! Laughed out loud figuring out the photo they were selling! I should have known. Thanks for making my holidays a bit brighter, and that also goes for everyone else who has contributed to the Advent Calendar. Bravo!

Anniew
Oh TT. What has Blake got in store for you! So clever and so funny.

Ganminime - yes you got the poem speakers right.

In my mind I set them in season one ... so Ulera - Anna would have got the gift. Sorry!
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

GanMiniMe
Thanks, Anniew!

I agree, with the hindsight afforded us by ďRumours of DeathĒ, Anna didnít deserve a present from Avon, she broke his heart and really really hurt him. I hope her present was a lump of coal. And I do not say that lightly.

Joe Dredd, nice cards :-) I wonder if Callyís Christmas list included a necklace made from Vilaís teeth.

Secondary to that, Vila would probably ask for a pair of dentures. I donít imagine heís that fond of soup...

Anniew
Joe. Loved the cards.
Suggestions:

Merry Christmas
I am your death

It wasnít all lies
At least your Dad makes the effort to dress up as Santa.

Dear Santa,
Wealth is the only reality. So Iím expecting something more this year than the chocolate money I usually get in my stocking.
Avon

Santa,
Iíd like eye liner and a pair of high heeled boots, please. Avon keeps taking mine .
Jenna

Lol! I hadnít thought of that!!

That's a great picture, Moon Disk. I might make it festive wallpaper on my computer!

The more I look at it, the more it has gone from being a Christmassy Liberator decoration to seeming like the real Liberator. At first I imagined the Liberator was trapped in something, like in The Web. But as I studied it, it seemed cheerier - like the Liberator had sailed through some fascinating but harmless space phenomenon*, intriguing the crew and lifting their spirits.

*Phenomenon, do do do do do

Ooh idea for a fic for Christmas Day Joe.

Yes lovely picture, Moondisc.

And Joe - I saw the similarity in pose, character and relationship and the magic of science, but the only differences I could spot between the pictures were in costumes, hair loss, skin blemish, the lack of Hoffleís radiation, and the different universes! Did I miss anything? (I may be taking this too seriously or your fiendishly clever mind may have fooled me again.)

Phenomenon do do do do! 😉 How can I resist?

I do like the picture, Moon Disc. My instant thought was it was a bit like the Web, but I think Joeís right and itís friendlier.
Now Iím imagining the debate on the flight deck about what theyíve flown into this time...

BradPaula
I think everyone would love a Liberator on their tree, Moon Disc. Lovely photo!

That reminds me, I must get my Libby fleet down and on the Xmas Tree.
Meanwhile, here's my rather droopy Libby from a few years ago.

Joe Dredd - lovely funny Christmas cards!

Moon Disk - looks like Liberator is flying through something magical. Smile

Iain Short - I hadn't realised until now that you are the son of Linda Short. Massive thanks for posting about your mum and your memories of the songs here.

Several of us here are fans of your mum and have copies of her tapes, and a few people have made MP3 copies of both albums.

I'm sure there is at least one person here who would happily share their memories of your mum here. I never got to meet her myself (I'm in Australia) but she was very well liked in B7 fandom, and admired for her musical talents too.
