Given that a scientist has died in every episode so far, I think Muller shouldn't be worried that he's in next Tuesday's episode at all Wink

See, S4 isn’t all doom and gloom. They rid the universe of Justin.

I would be so interested to see a *good* version of this ep. One that had been properly script edited by Boucherr. And properly cast.

That episode’s almost bearable in company. But I shall be off now, to refill the coffee I spilt everywhere coming up the stairs earlier. See you next week!

What a fantastic pile of Og poo that episode was. Had a great time today! See you all next time. 'Night.

That was a lot of fun - well, the company was. The ep hasn't improved over the years.

I must now tend to the mushrooms and enjoy some mushroom soup, yum yum.

I love reading all your comments. It just occurred to me however - are we sure this script was written for season four and not submitted much earlier before Children of Auron, and perhaps rejected at the time but then resurrected and adapted in haste when they realised that Terminal was not ... terminal and Cally refused to return?
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Possible, but this happened rather frequently to the BBC back in the day.

Louise Jameson said that her entire first season on Doctor Who she was getting scripts with 'Sarah Jane' crossed out and 'Leela' written in.

She'd read Sarah Jane (crossed out) Leela (written in): Screams.
Louise: Oh, no she doesn't!

Can’t see that being either “Face Of Evil” or “Robots Of Death”. For the former, Chris Boucher was told to simply include his own female character, since it was already known that Lis Sladen was leaving. He therefore included a female savage in it, who it was then decided would become the new companion. Robert Holmes very much liked the script and gave Boucher the follow-on story as well. Neither of those scripts ever had Sarah in them.

I think it could be “Talons Of Weng-Chiang”, which originally featured an Eliza Doolittle type character as a potential new companion. Robert Holmes completely rewrote those scripts, but it’s possible that some of the characteristics were left in, unless Louise Jameson pointed out in rehearsal that it wasn’t very Leela-like. Leela DOES scream at one point of Talons, but as she is about to be eaten by a giant rat, I think that’s fair enough!

Or rather, "Oh, no she does not".

Louise was always taking out any contractions in Leela's speech. Wink
