But at least they are free...

Free from what? Being supplied with food, water, education and transport?

or having to breathe.

Do we see the Federation killing many in the first two seasons? That seems Blake's forte.

I like these shots of the 3 of them.

And Blake goes from green rubber wellies to brown leather boots.
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

"Yes, it makes you proud to be human" - says Avon sarcastically. He mocks idealists but then acts like one himself. Great stuff.

I always contrast this part in Star One, the part of proud to be humans, despite everything, to Terminal's "That's what humanity will become" from Servalan.
Terry Nation was much more pessimistic than Chris Boucher, ironically.

There’s the odd massacre. Travis seems to like them. Admittedly not on screen, and he does get pulled up on it.

Terry Nation was a huge pessimist. He killed 99.99% of humanity in the opening episode of Survivors.

Yes Survivors was a cheery little effort too.

My God... that IS grim.

Which shows there is justice (of sorts) in the Federation as well.

And let's not forget scientific research (Killer).

Most mine fields also work as an alarm system, unless you are an unusually heavy sleeper.

Ah, a guy in a monk's robe ... that's Morden! Everyone thought he was dead but he survived the blast and now he is back, more hell-bent on destruction than ever and .... oooops .... it's Travis! Hm .... for some reason, I was thinking of the wrong series ... again.

Great scene with Avon and Travis

My father actually managed to sleep through a bomb raid.
