Something that's especially good about RoS is the medieval villages, although they did have lots of practice with Arthur of the Britons before it...

Did you see Ray Winstone in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations a couple of years ago? A friend recommended it to me and, although I didn't rate the production all that highly, Ray was very good in it...

The confronation between Marian and the Sheriff is a real highlight, with a good range of expressions from Judi, and a point where I felt that the character became a strong lead in her own right rather than the token female.

I prefer Robert to Robin partly because of scenes like this with the Sheriff, as he demonstrates multiple aspects to his personality in being able to socialise with both rich and poor while balancing his own goals and motivations.
