Vila shoots a guard in cold blood (the guard hadn't noticed him until Vila whistles). Is that in character?

It is the ONLY time that Vila shoots anyone.

He accidentally killed someone with a knife in Cygnus Alpha - and looked horrified.

Definitely out of character in this most violent episode.

I haven't really thought of Games as violent, but I guess it is.

Tarrant's 'Launch & flight' simulator.
Because he never learned to land - as we see in 'Blake' Wink

Yes, I think Gold probably has the highest body count though (I'm not counting Blake)

I bet somebody somewhere has added up the body counts...

Vila - "Dust. That's probably half the guard you threw in the machine."

Not just violent, but joking about it? I'm getting creeped out!

Sevencyclopaedia has character body counts.

Soolin is the most deadly - second most kills (to Avon) despite only being in 13 episodes.

No, I did lines of dialogue.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone has done body counts. The Way Back definitely wins!!! Wink

trevor travis
Stratford Johns changed some of the dialogue, hence the uncertainty of whether Belkov is dead. In the script, he definitely dies.

Yes, didn't think of that.

Similar end to City, with Vila producing the crystals. However, in Derek, happy endings are banned Grin so they are fake Wink

Bless him, he wanted the possibility of making a return appearance!

Heaven knows how many rebels is killed in the massacre. At least 30?

It's interesting how this ep echoes many earlier ones - quoted dialogue, or similar moments such as the crystals at the end.

Thanks Meegat and Travisina.

Not sure about next week - still waiting to hear back from my brother to see if he can cover my dad's care. If he can, I'll be out.

That was a great rewatch, thanks both!

I'm not around next week, but if others want to go ahead, I'll put 'Sand' on the Roundup. Or happy to postpone. Either way.

If you look at the actual shooting, I would guess 20 to 25. But when we see the bodies afterwards it seems to be more?

Well I think we should postpone because three makes for livelier dialogue than two. Unless TT is especially keen to go ahead? I don't mind really Grin
