A Little Get Together
littlesue
While attending Smallspace last year, I mentioned to PC that back in the day I used to travel down, by train, to my friend's house and watch B7 videos, while our 4 children played together. This usually involved some sherry drinking as well!!!
I said that as I wasn't going to Cygnus Alpha, maybe I could have a little celebration at my house one Saturday when Hubby and Grandson are off on one of their away football matches.
It would just be a few of us watching B7 DVDs, having snacks and tea (or any other non alcoholic drink!!!).
I live in deepest darkest Hampshire.
Are there any B7 fans close by (I know Security Robot lives just up the road from me) who might like to pop down for the day?
It's just a thought...
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

That sounds like a good idea. However, I don't fancy driving back from deepest darkest Hampshire late at night.
Perhaps if one these football matches is an afternoon match?

There is a Travel Lodge just round the corner from me.
Even if Hubby and Grandson decide not to go off all day for a football match, dearest would just have to endure a few B7 fans running riot round the house!!!!
BTW, walking back from New Milton Station back in the 80s (I couldn't drive then) was quite fun, especially after 2 or 3 glasses of Sherry!!! Grin

This sounds lovely. Old school at its best! Sadly, I don't drive and public transport isn't the ideal mode of transport: I'd be falling asleep on your couch before we start hitting the wine.

But I do hope it goes ahead and those who are able to indulge in a B7 DVD Fest will have brilliant time.
