Did I just here the soundtrack of 2001 A Space Odyssey?

Yes, the barrel organ is playing the Strauss Blue Danube Waltz...

On the other hand, it may be on time because Heyes and Curry are not out there to stop it in the middle of nowhere.

Why am I waiting for Heyes or Curry laughing maniacally in the rain of money?

ASJ is loosely based on Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid...

That was fun! It did remind me of Butch and Sundance a bit.

Thanks for the idea of this rewatch, Clare - that was really fun.

I decided on a whim to watch it earlier this year...just looking for something different...never intended to get as hooked on it as I have...but glad I did!

Glad you suggested it, Clare. I was just reading about Peter Duel's last day- I knew something had happened to him but couldn't remember. So sad. He was a real talent.

You're welcome!! Feel free to watch the other episodes if you want Smile They're not all online though... I've got the DVD's for all 3 series...of course sadly Peter Duel passed away part way through the second season...they fitted in a replacement actor to play Heyes...Roger Davis...but it was never the same... I do feel very sorry for Roger...being thrown into it like that...

Rewatching a TV series from your childhood can sometimes be a real disappointment ... this wasn't! Thanks for the company! Good night folks! Oops

Smile Agreed...he wasn't a well boy...I have the 'Pretty Good Bad Men' book that was written by a couple of fans of the series...very good read btw! In there it mentions that unfortunately it wasn't the first time Peter had attempted to take his own life...it first happened when he was 16. Never got the proper help he needed...and of course succeeded later on...dreadful waste and a tragic story...
