As it is Ferragosto today (a special day in Italy to celebrate the summer), and, in keeping with Italian tradition of making a wish if I see a star in the night Sky on this day, I'll make a special wish for Sue and her family.

What a lovely tradition. I'm not Italian but I will do the same this evening.

That's lovely, sweevo. I'll do the same. Is the Perseid Meteor Shower still going on? I've traditionally wished on falling stars, so I'll look out for one of those, too.

Great gesture, sad day and virtual hugs to Little Sue and family and Brian and family and everybody who's day was brighter when Sarah was about.
I could not get to the service but watched the online stream, such a fitting tribute and think Sarah would have loved the ceremony, everybody's need to be like that...

Richard, I'm so glad that you were able to watch it this morning. And everyone who was there said the same as you. I was worried sick this morning because I thought it wouldn't go smoothly, but it did, and all thanks to Matthew at Jonathan Terry's. He and his colleagues even wore a sprig of that flower gypso...I can't remember how to spell it, but's it the small white one that goes into flower arrangements. Now to have a cup of tea, choccies and biccies,
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of the window!!!

Glad it went well, Littlesue, I was thinking of you. The flower is gypsophila, colloquially known as 'baby's breath'. Friends of mine used to grow it on their farm in Israel.
Enjoy your tea & chocs & bics. I've got a hat on (blue baseball cap type thing) ready for the rewatch.
