RIP Adam West

Holy fatal endings, Batman!

Another legend gone. RIP Adam West and thanks.

I am old enough to remember seeing him as Batman in the original airings. He was an inspiration to a generation. To young Americans of the 60's, he was our Doctor Who.

RIP, Mr West. Here are a few scenes from the 1966 Batman movie in memory of the Camp Crusader:

Rest in peace Adam West.

I was so sad to hear this news. Batman was a huge part of my childhood - and growing up. Although I've liked some of later incarnations of the screen role, none had the same impact (POW! THUNK!) or been as long-lasting as the 1960s version.

RIP Adam West, my Batman forever.

Every Saturday, without fail; in front the TV at a friend's house - the front room filled with at least nine of us kids, all watching Batman whilst rooting around in sweetie bags, and newly purchased comics on stand-by once the show ended. A cherished time in my childhood.

RIP Adam West.
