Is there any fan made music out there, inspired by Blake's 7? i.e. based on the music and sound effects of Blake's 7? Thanks. |

There are lots of fan vids and what not on Youtube, and the London Symphony Orchestra (Or was it the BBC Orchestra?) recorded a version of the B7 theme, but I'm not recalling any fan music based on the B7 theme. Surely others will come along and prove me wrong. |

Only thing I can think of besides fan vids is the Blake's 7 Disco Mix.. I own on vinyl, and have somewhere on mp3. Not fan made AFAIK, but the mind boggles that someone thought it was worth the commercial enterprise. 'Tis fun playing at fan gatherings (when the time is right!) Who's Shirley? ![]() |

Linda Short released two tapes of filk songs, "Songs of the Seven" and "Ditties from the Edge of the World". Narrelle M Harris also released a tape of original* songs, "Voices from the Past". Whereas Linda's songs are her voice and guitar, Narrelle's involves some friends and some other instruments. * Plus a song about Servalan to the tune of "My Favourite Things" ("Destroyer class spaceships and milit'ry stations/<<something something something>> and corrupt litigations/To rule them all is her number one plan/That's what you get when you get Servalan!" |

I have put Linda's songs up on Media Fire. Thank you for reminding me Joe Songs of the Seven https://www.media..._The_Seven Ditties from the Edge of the World https://www.media...2569/songs I should also mention that Linda passed away quite a few years ago. She was a lovely lady and played her guitar and sang her songs at conventions. I like to think that she's up there singing along with her songs even now. Thanks all. Linda and Narrelle's songs are nice, but not quite the style I'm looking for. I'm after electronic music, in the style of the Federation March or this: Blake's 7: Eliminate https://www.youtu...rHRC_qrEvA I found one of Narrelle's songs online: https://kittyandc...-the-dark/ Yeah, the disco B7 theme is funny. Maybe I'll try and make my own... Cheers. |

I was thinking of Intergalactic Soace Invaders by Star One but it's not quite what you're looking for.
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

Probably way off-beam, but I always thought some of the SID music composed on the Commodore 64 would work well for a B7 video. A lot of the well known music has been covered but in addition to the game & demo music, there are a lot of original compositions. A few examples of the maestro, Rob Hubbard: Monty on the Run - original SID, with oscilloscope view of the three sound channels. I can't find the cover version I want with the Mad Fiddler playing the manic violin part at the end, but here's a rehearsal by PPOT with Pascal Roggen Crazy Comets - still makes me dance in my seat! Make sure you listen to the whole piece. Warhawk with it's soulful beginning. None of these would be particularly good as B7 filks (I had some in mind but have gone blank) but you can certainly find something Elizabeth Parkery in some of the music out there composed on the C64. |

Hello.. Yes "Hip Deep In Heros"! Correct.. Includes "Looking For Blake" (in all the wrong places.. In Dark outer spaces..) and "Pattern", "Poor Blake" (which sounds like a funeral story) and "Every Womans Lament" (about all the leather in B7) |

Not to mention the one about Orac based on "Bicycle Built for Two": "Orac, Orac, give us your answer do Don't you talk back, we've got a job for you The teleport needs attention, and timely intervention To save our friends, from nasty ends, bring them back and make coffee, too!" |
