Who wrote this episode?

James Follett. Also wrote the wonderful Dawn Of The Gods.

I think I prefer that one to this...

Yep, me too.
Although Stardrive grew on me.

I think I prefer Dawn Of The Gods - just. I like them both.

Both have merit, but I prefer Stardrive - it's marginally less daft, and Vila is a lot better.

LOL, somehow this line got stuck in my head, but my vision is Doctor Who.
Does anyone know if this line was used in a DW episode?

Dr Who?

It doesn't sound familiar to me in Doctor Who, but of course, just saying 'doctor' does bring to mind Doctor Who.

True. But he mostly comes across as stupid and annoying, whereas he shines in Stardrive.

Gook is a kind of slang for foreigner. But it's also used as a slur to describe Koreans.

A Minbar is the preacher's place in a mosque.

I thought the writer was locked in his hotel room until he came up with an alien race, eventually being inspired by the Mini Bar.

I remember one episode where we saw a planet from orbit, and the caption said something about a "member of the Minibari Federation".

As far as I know, they locked up Harlan Ellison in Gene Roddenberry's office until he finally completed his script for City. While he was locked up, he ate Roddenberry's pot plant.

That's why Dayna is being so pedantic, acting as a distraction.

It would certainly work on Huggy, and apparently he is part space rat. (Raumratt)?
