Brian is marvellous as Travis for the third week running. He is massively under-rated. He's every bit as good - if different - from Stephen Grief.

It's unfortunate that his introduction in the earlier eps was so ... unfortunate. He's great when he's quiet and menacing, rather than shouty.

Hostage and Voice From The Past get the character so wrong. On the other hand, Trial is a masterpiece for Travis and Brian plays it perfectly, as Travis even manages to outplay Servie.

Avon's decision to fight is more pragmatic than anything else.

The tension is up to 12 out of 10 Shock

She's the guerilla fighter, after all - more used to that sort of thing than a computer expert. Nice that this ep remembers that - and treats women as equal to the men (and why not?)

Love that there's still time for one Vila/Avon exchange right at the end.

Weapon was a very bad introduction to him. Trial is fantastic, but by then it's too late for many viewers after that first impression.

Yes, this episode goes some way to restoring parity, after the inequality of Killer/Hostage/Countdown, where the women are simply Space Receptionists Wink

Fantastic way to end a series. Much imitated (ST:TNG) but never bettered.

Thanks for the company, TT! Such a good episode, always a pleasure to rewatch Smile

Shall we carry on next week with Aftermath, or wait for the Aussies to catch up?

Yes, the first time I saw the Best Of The Both Worlds, it was "Hold on, I've seen this cliffhanger before" Wink

But Star One does it the best. It's a brilliant cliifhanger with incredible tension.

Thanks all. I don't mind if we carry on or have a break until "Aftermath".

Thank you so much for carrying this on. I hate to be so damn flakey! Hopefully things will improve for the Dayna era.... and there's no more dang family events! Next Sat night SHOULD be okay, but if not we'll watch Aftermath early not late.

Fingers crossed

Hi GC, would it help if we did the rewatches half an hour earlier? I for one would be fine with that.
