I think so. Did she look like a troll?

My cousin had one, I was dead jealous. But do you remember how the hair came out of the middle of her head, and could be wound back in for a shorter style?

That's the one. I wish I'd kept it...but my dear Dad gave all my dolls away when I got married; he didn't think I wanted them any more. Amongst them was my Rosebud doll.

Mine was only a small Rosebud doll, but I loved her. I think I called her Mary.

Did you have the "Glamour Misty" doll? It was exactly the size of the USA's Barbie doll but it had long white hair and it came with three felt tipped markers in red, brown and yellow which you could 'dye' the hair and then wash it out. I wonder how many little girls ran out of the markers and used permanent markers and ruined the dolls hair? Actually I still have my Barbie doll and Glamour Misty.

Haven't heard of Glamour Misty - must have been a US-only doll. There was a British version of Barbie called Sindy ('The doll you love to dress!'Wink, and I can't remember whether it was her or Barbie who had the little sister called Skipper.

It was Barbie who had the little sister Skipper; I had one of each. I also had a similar type of doll called Tuesday. I still have all of them and their wardrobes

My sister had a Skipper doll. Do you remember Barbie's friend Midge? I never got her. I have the black carrying case yet filled with dolls and dresses- even an extra head and wigs. I'm afraid the Barbie doll house made of sturdy cardboard did not survive my childhood.

I think I have a vague memory of Midge, but I didn't know anyone who had her.

Confession time: Although I had a few, I was never into dolls! They lay around neglected, or were played with by friends who came to visit, while I always preferred spaceships. My favourite dress-up outfit was a Jet Morgan space suit. (It was years before I found out who Jet Morgan was - Journey Into Space was long before my time! I just liked having a space suit Smile).

I had a battery-operated Dalek that went round in circles, but was able to change direction if it collided with anything or reached the edge of the table. If I still had that mint-in-box it would probably be worth a fortune today, but sadly it went the way of all toys.

All this talk of dolls makes me think the BBC is missing an opportunity for marketing.
Presenting the Blake's 7 line of dolls.

Jenna Doll: Comes with an extensive wardrobe. Wind her up and she sits at the teleport and sulks.

Cally Doll: Comes with two hairstyles, both bad. Wind her up and… hmm… this doll’s microprocessor is prone to interference from larger and older microprocessors, passing black holes, and Jack FM. We are working on a software patch.

Blake Doll: Wind it up and it ignores the Jenna Doll to argue with the Avon Doll.

Avon Doll: Our most popular model. You can buy an optional two handed blaster. This particular accessory is not recommended if you also own the Blake Doll.

Tarrant Doll: Wind it up and it argues with all the other dolls.

Dayna Doll: Wind it up and it doesn’t shoot the Servalan Doll. Comes in a set with the Travis Doll, which when wound up, you guessed it, doesn’t shoot the Blake Doll.

Servalan Doll: Comes with a completely different Travis doll from the one above. Could take over the galaxy, but would rather flirt with the Avon and Tarrant dolls.

Ushton Doll: Can tell you what time it is (for the very old Horizonites)

Soolin Doll: An amazingly beautiful doll, dressed in a dumpy jumper that can never be changed.

Gan Doll: If you can figure out what it does, let us know. In the meantime, it makes a great door stop. Temporarily pulled from the market as we are in litigation against the Game of Thrones ‘Hodor’ doll.

Vila Doll: Wind it up and it does as little as possible while you’re looking. When you’re not looking, it nicks your loose change from under the sofa.

Somehow the recent Rescue rewatch turned into a discussion about dolls. As it effectively derailed that thread, I'm moving the posts here. Everyone is welcome to join in!

The Dayna doll comes with a hidden pocket for invisible storage of drinks bottles, purses, other dolls, bicycles etc.

I can’t say much about dolls – li’l Hugbot was more interested in teddy bears and Lego.
