Looking for Blake's 7 scripts
wall1885
I was wondering if anyone out there had copies of genuine Blake's 7 scripts?
If yes would you be willing to copy them & sale me a copy for my own personal collection - I would pay via paypal?

I'm only interested in genuine scripts not fan made scripts/transcripts

Please let me know what you have & if your able to help - Thank you

JustBrad
They exist on several sites free of charge, most notably Lysator.

Just google Blake's 7 Transcripts.

Hi wall1885,

We are still in the process of reinstating the site's previous content, including the information on Horizon's merchandise. Latest news on general merchandise is regularly updated here: http://www.blakes...icle_id=14.

In the meantime, for technical manuals, photos, Horizon publications (Newsletters and Fiction Zines) and scripts, please PM the Supreme Commander.

We hope to resume normal service as soon as possible...

Hi there, I have replied to your email. And for anyone else interested the answer is yes, Horizon did - and still does - offer for sale copies of the actual camera scripts, rehearsal scripts and a very few First Draft scripts of most (though not all) of the televised episodes, plus a couple of Unproduced scripts (which includes 'Man of Iron' by Paul Darrow which he wrote for Season 4 and which many years ago Paul gave me permission to re-produce for the fans, with 1 from each copy sold to go to charity.)

I'm aware that several of you Out There have been very patiently waiting for me to sort out exactly what we have available and will try and get this sorted out soon. I have now found ALL Horizon's scripts (some of which had hidden themselves away in my house's mini Bermuda Triangle) and they are now (much to the horror of my daughters) in 4 large boxes in our living room. Watch this space...

Some originals on ebay from time to time, one of Power on the Propmasters website, bit expensive, like most of their stuff!

MANY THANKS SC. I for one really appreciate the effort you have gone to, to find all of the actual screen scripts. (Fellow fans, the beauty in having these, is that there are extra details and notes on the actual scripts that you will not find on a fan produced document. These are the actual writings of Terry Nation, Chris Boucher etc). I know Technodelic will also be very pleased to hear of this great news.

For a sample, I am most willing to email anyone who would like it, the script to the final episode 'Blake' in pdf. Please note, that I encourage the purchasing of copies from Horizon as Horizon is the official Blakes 7 appreciation society and has been nothing but terrific in assisting me to obtain many items from magazines through to an actual Martin Bower teleport bracelet. (I'm still mad keen for a Federation rifle too SC if you know anything more on that one). I offer this purely as a guide for anyone who's interested. [Horizon moderators and commanders if you object to this in any way I'll of course retract the offer, it's purely a fan helping other fans].

Please note that Horizon is run by dedicated fans like yourselves who do not make a profit from there work and if they do, it normally ends up going into fan events and other wonderful Blakes 7 supporting endeavors. Please also note that postage is not cheap anymore, especially for sending printed documents so don't hassle these hard working people about postage costs etc. Essentially by supporting Horizon, your supporting yourself, the Blakes 7 fan. (Please note that I have no incentives for putting this message here, I'm just letting you know as a fellow fan one fan to another. Horizon is genuinely a terrific group of people passionate about Blakes 7 and hence my enthusiasm to commend everyone who supports them as there a great group of people and yes I'm a dedicated member myself but you know what I mean).

Also I think getting copies of the original scripts for all Blakes 7 televised episodes is essential reading for the Blakes 7 fan. I'm looking forward to reading them while watching an episode some time. (Dare I say it joining in on an online rewatch(yeah I know I'll try to be awake)).

Somewhere in one of my boxes I have an Original Series Star Trek Script signed by James Doohan.
I think it's Bread and Circuses and has the different coloured pages which apparently indicated which rewrite it was. (David Gerrold's books on ST are fantastic. How a script actually got to the screen...even Bill Shakespeare would have had trouble!)
I won it at a ST convention in the 70's.

I am in awe! What an amazing win!

It's true about the different coloured pages. TV scripts here are white during pre-production, then the shooting script is blue. Each subsequent rewrite, whether a page or a whole scene, is in a new colour. Scripts can end up looking like rainbows, as changes are made throughout the shoot. There was one episode I worked on (can't remember which series, might have been 'Sugar Rush') where there were so many re-writes they ran out of colours and had to start again with white!

Ah, but how much was 9 worth back in the 1970s? A day's wages? A week? I went fruit picking during a school holiday in 1973 and was paid 4p per pound of raspberries - and thought I was doing very well. But you could probably sell that script today for about 9,000!

I had a look on Ebay and they go for about 60. I'm keeping it for Grandson.
